Current eSA Politics

Let me say, things have changed a lot, and I don't know if it's a good or bad thing.

I helped create UP, and bring it to a level "Just short" of what it is today. We were against IA, IA being our competition, our enemy. Recruiting Drives were going and we were constantly competing for the "Number 1" spot.

This competition truly stopped when both parties became overwhelmingly inactive. The numbers were there, but there stopped being "IA is great"/"UP is better" articles, and there started just becoming certain players who represented their parties. After Ricky left (Enriche2Ribeiro) we had discussions of re-branding UP. We essentially got that rebranding a month later when the Desert Lions moved over.

I'm not a part of the UP circle anymore, but I believe the DL brought a new life to UP, one that was lacking in the months before. They had their own ideas of government and essentially helped rebrand the party, while still keeping the "Help new players" mission statement.

I left for 2 reasons:
1) The Party was too big. The last time I was PP was before the congress voting change and I was miserable contacting individuals and getting them to run in specific regions, just to hear nothing back for days. I couldn't manage such a large party.
2) My views had definitely fallen in line more with the Dignity Brigade's over the previous 3 months. I was being social with them and I knew Rico could use some help managing the bunch.

It was hard for me to do that. I had tried before, but could never bring myself to. My initial plan was to help bridge relations between the two parties, but that, sadly, didn't quite happen as planned either.

NOW
I am a Dignity Brigade CP candidate with Support from IA. I have the Party I spent close to a year "Despising" backing me. I recently gave Willdeboer grief for accepting IA support. But now I truly see. Things have changed. Our parties are all "South African Parties"

UP stands for making the South Africa better
IA stands for making the South Africa better
DB stands for making the South Africa better
OOPs stands for making the South Africa better
LL stands for making the South Africa better
RISE stands for making the South Africa better (Well, those who aren't trying to PTO us...)

Parties have changed in this new day and age. The only things parties really represent is who gets into Congress and even those lines bridge during times of PTO, and everyone is willing to do what it takes to make eSA better.

In the state of affairs that eSA is currently in, I think it's great to see party lines being crossed to support South Africa, where before, I had viewed it differently.

I started this article with: "Let me say, things have changed a lot, and I don't know if it's a good or bad thing."

I for one m convinced it's a good thing.

Thanks for your support!
