Crawling Chaos for President of eJapan: Closing Arguments and Questions

I want to be clear that my campaign is about ideas to change eJapan for the better. If on February 5th I do not win the election, I will still be proud of this campaign and the positive message that I have tried to put forward. It has been my goal throughout this campaign to maintain a positive outlook and present a series of ideas that have the potential to not only change eJapan and put us on a better path, but also unite the citizens of eJapan in pursuit of a common goal. Politics is certainly partisan in eJapan but we are not beyond hope, we can work together if we have the leadership to make that happen. I believe that I have the much needed leadership to work with everyone in eJapan, not just my supporters.
My opponent has tried to make this race a personal one, about me or my party rather than the platform. About rumors, innuendo, and conspiracy rather than positive change for eJapan. This divisive politics has to stop. No President is going to be successful when they approach half of the population as if they were the enemy. We must work as equal partners in governing this nation and achieving the compromise necessary to make our goals attainable. I have said before, we all have the same goal, just different paths to get there. I believe this to be true. We all want a strong, independent eJapan. The only difference between us is the road to this goal. It is time to work together and finally make this a reality.
I would like to thank Chysamere, Dokomo, Pupants, and Vorph for their help in formulating the platform that I have put together. I would like to thank the Desu Workers’ Party, the Godzilla Party, and the United Lolies of Japan for their support. I would also like to thank all of the people who supported me for nomination in the other parties.
My first article provided an overview of what my platform would be. I then went into detail on the economy and culture in eJapan in this article. That was followed up by an article which went into detail on my plans for the military and foreign policy. If anything about my platform is unclear, please let me know, ask a question and I will answer it.
I invite everyone in eJapan to vote for me, Crawling Chaos, on February 5th. Together let’s stop the infighting, the divisions, let’s work together and witness a new day for eJapan.
Crawling Chaos
Candidate for President of eJapan

And now…. questions submitted by citizens. If you’d like your question answered send me a PM or post your question in the comments section and I will answer it.
Sigrún_Mäkinen asked the following question:
”I read in one of your articles that you support the formation of an Asian Alliance, as well as your wish to have an efficient military in another.
I strongly agree with both ideas. However, having an alliance of nations will mean that leaning towards EDEN or Phoenix is inevitable at some point or another. What are your views on both superalliances? Note that i am not talking about active involvement, i just want to get an idea of where you feel this new Asian Alliance would stand in relation to EDEN and Phoenix if the fight should return to Asia again.”
I view EDEN and Phoenix in similar terms. Both alliances are brotherhoods that value the welfare of their member nations. Neither alliance has any long term interest in eJapan beyond what we can provide for their campaigns. IE, the Kyushu gateway. The member nations of each alliance may wish to have good faith partnerships with eJapan, and that is fine, but we must never forget that the alliances themselves do not value us beyond our role as that gateway.
I do not view the world in terms of EDEN or Phoenix, and what I mean by that is that I will not temper my actions or the actions of my government based on the likely interpretation of these alliances. I will make alliances and partnerships for eJapan because that is the best thing for eJapan. I will decline others because they do not fit with our vision. It is inevitable that we will take actions that some people will say favor one side or another, as many people do view the world in terms of only Phoenix and EDEN. The important thing, in my view, is to hold to our guiding philosophies and work with our allies regardless of what the world outside of us thinks. It’s important to be conscious of how our actions will impact the campaigns of the superalliances, especially as the war returns to Asia (and it will). But I do not believe that we should allow ourselves to be defined by either Phoenix or EDEN.
Faeyas asked the following question:
”What will you do to appeal to the groups in japan that see Godzilla as the devil?
How will you end this stupid infighting?
and what are your opinions on unity?”
If someone honestly believes that the Godzilla Party is evil or somehow bent on the destruction of… something, then I’m not sure I can ever appeal to them. I do think I have been thorough in my platform, and I do think there are parts in there that can appeal to the different factions around eJapan. I think that I am approachable and willing to listen to people, so if they have an issue I invite them to come and talk to me about it. Most of this kind of attitude stems from misunderstandings months ago that were never addressed.
I will try to address the infighting within our government by being as inclusive as possible from the start. I have included in my cabinet members of several different parties, and I have expanded the Ministries of Finance and Culture to include panels which will allow more citizens a voice. I have an agenda that I want to get accomplished, however I will work with Congress and citizens around eJapan to achieve compromise where necessary, or incorporate new ideas into my administration’s goals. Flexibility is key, and realizing that we must work together to overcome the major obstacles standing before us in the near future. Without the understanding that leadership mostly consists of fostering partnerships with others, especially Congress, a President will never get anywhere with his agenda.
I believe that unity is possible in eJapan, and I think that the key is first to stop the infighting and get everyone on a similar page as far as where we need to go. Maybe when we’re having a conversation instead of bickering back and forth, people will start to understand that the different groups are not really that different.
Kyuutai states...
"You say that you want unity, peace and friendship, but in reality, your party is turning down pretty much everything that KITA Ikki is proposing. I also want to see a good conversation. For instance, the Q3 weapon company proposal in its initial form? It was pretty good as it was in the beginning.
As I see it, turning it down in order to alter it a bit, just to try to show that the president is incompetent, was unnecessary if you wanted to build healthy relationship between you and the president. Sad..."
It was a bad proposal. Period. You are aware that there is currently no MoD, right? Who is going to run this new company? Who will work it? The military is basically non-functioning right now except for weapons distributions, which are done by squad leaders. And the proposal was to invest an additional 90g into a non-functioning organization for another company when we already have one that we could just upgrade and save some money in the process. A bad proposal was turned around and made good, we all won. I don't see the problem.
My party doesn't have the authority to "turn down" anything the President wants. We are not a majority. I will not sit by and approve poor legislation.
Irimi asks...
"The important thing, in my view, is to hold to our guiding philosophies and work with our allies regardless of what the world outside of us thinks."
Can you explain what those guidings are?
Can you tell me who are the real ally of Japan?
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Our guiding philosophy, in this case, would be the righteous nation philosophy and the Asia First philosophy. It is important that we do not compromise these values, or they become meaningless.
We have many allies. I'm not sure what you mean by "real" ally.

Anyway, good luck.
I mentioned that proposal because it was made by a person from the president's appointed cabinet, so, by approval of the president.
I added your question, Kyuutai, and my response.
"As I see it, turning it down in order to alter it a bit, just to try to show that the president is incompetent, was unnecessary if you wanted to build healthy relationship between you and the president. Sad..."
Kyuutai, just in case you are unaware: Godzilla and its members enjoyed a good working relationship with ISP, and KITA Ikki, for months. The current situation is KITA Ikki's fault and responsibility. KITA Ikki decided to make his campaign negative and xenophobic. KITA Ikki has attacked Godzilla and its members. KITA Ikki locked us out of cabinet (when there has been a tradition between Godzilla and ISP to include each other for months before).
The President needs to extend a hand if he wants to build a healthy relationship with Godzilla. We've tried, but he has repeatedly let it be known that he does not trust us, and he never misses a chance to attack us.
Just look at the difference in CC's campaign and KITA's campaign. A full 50% of KITA's campaigning has been about attacking Godzilla, and EVERY message from CC has been about his policies and ideas.
What is SAD, is how KITA Ikki has decided to stir the pot again and again, refusing to work with us and attacking us.
Kyuutai, please find ONE place where KITA Ikki has extended a hand to Godzilla.

Crawling Chaos, thank you for the response!
By the way - on who will work it - I, for instance, will, and possibly other members who join JIA/JIN. Yes, KITA Ikki was doing a good job as a minister of defense, recruiting new members, for example, and if we could continue that now, that would have been nice.
Well, I suppose, we will see where the road takes us, that is all I can say.
Daeish, perhaps an MPP which was supported by everyone in the congress, with eUkraine, and renewing other MPPs, could be called "extending a hand to Godzillas", after all, your party unanimously (?) voted in favor of them. Despite being a president in a country in which the congress has a lot of people close to that party (also in other parties), it was still possible to agree. Only a part of issues discussed in the congress depend on the president, so opportunities for the president to affect the situation are limited in a way.
I do see the situation from your point of view as well, of course.
No, Angrr arranging an MPP with eUkraine was not in any way an attempt by KITA Ikki to extend a hand of friendship or cooperation to Godzilla. I expect you to recognize this on your own.
Irimi I added your question, though the phrasing confused me a little.
You have my support, try to not be weak like current president !
Goodluck !
"I think that I am approachable and willing to listen to people"
That couldn't be more true. It takes me back, back a way long time ago, to the time when Minamoto Yoritomo won his first election against Oraizan. Back when it was Japanese versus North Koreans. I didn't like that divisive attitude any more than I like it today so, as I was Minister of Internal Affairs at the time, I decided to open a dialog with our new North Korean friends. I reached out to Crawling Chaos, asking him to become my Vice Minister for North Korean-Japanese Affairs. Despite my initial mistrust of him, he accepted and started us down a road to healing that rift and rebuilding a unified country.
Approachable and willing to listen indeed.
Vote Crawling Chaos for an anti-Phoenix Japan.
That was weak, Walorm. You're really lowering the bar. I expect at least some amount of effort to be put into your comments, and lately you've been letting me down.
