A short thanks to Nogin, who, although initially agreeing to become CO of the No. 2 Regulars, has decided the role is not for her at this moment in time.

Without saying to much, can I extend my deepest gratitude to our hard-working CO's. I have been annoying them constantly in the last couple of days, and they have accomplished a great deal already. A small reward is coming their way. To all other soldiers, I ask for patience, due to the immense workload of organisation underway behind the scenes. I hope everyone will get behind their fellow countrymen.

Regards,

Digits, Chief of Staff, IDF

P.S. I'm not a fan of naysayers.

Ministry of Defence Update:

We have been in constant contact with the eUS government and have determined that our war games will now carry on unimpeded for the near future. Many thanks to President Jewitt and his Secretary of State, Bradley Reala for their tireless work to make these happen. We are told that only in extenuating circumstances will war games be halted.

The Ministry of Defence encourages you to enlist here in the IDF. Serve your country like it serves you.

Fight Smart

Many new citizens want to know how they can fight in support of Ireland. Below is the simplest, most direct information for raw recruits and untrained civilians to gain wellness, experience and boost productivity through combat.

1. Know yourself.

You must be at least Level 5 and have a minimum health of 40% to fight in a battle.

2. Know your weapons.

Weapons increase your damage. The higher the weapon, the higher the damage increase. YOU DO NOT NEED A WEAPON TO FIGHT. You can fight bare-handed in any battle and you still receive the same experience and wellness benefits.

To fight, go to the active war page. Look for wars that have active battles and click on details. Then click on "Go to Battlefield" This will take you to the battle page. Click the big "FIGHT" button in the middle of the screen.

EACH FIGHT USES ONE WEAPON. So be smart and buy what you can afford.

Each fight reduces your wellness by 10 points. Each fight gives you 2 exp.

But most importantly, fighting, even once, gives you access to a hospital, if one is in your region.

3. Know your region.

Before considering to fight, know the war resources available in your state. Next to your name in your citizen profile is the name of the region of Ireland where you reside. Clicking on that link will give you vital statistics for your home region. The only one of consequence for this discussion is that you know if your region has a hospital and what quality that hospital is.

4. Know your hospital

Hospitals heal war wounds (loss of wellness) on the same server day as any fighting. You recover 10 wellness for every level of quality of the hospital you use. YOU CAN ONLY USE A HOSPITAL ONCE PER DAY. If the region you reside in has no hospital, move to The Northeast. The highest quality hospital in Ireland is The Northeast. It is Q5, meaning it will facilitate the recovery of 50 wellness points. A Q4 heals 40, Q3 heals 30, etc. The more you can heal, the more you can fight.

IMPORTANT TIP FOR NEW CITIZENS: You don't need to lose 50 wellness to get 50 wellness from the Q5 hospital. If you are at 40 wellness and fight once, you will have 30 wellness. You can use the Q5 hospital to increase your wellness 50 points to 80. That means the next day you can fight more and your productivity at work will increase significantly. That means Ireland becomes more efficient at producing goods, which means lower costs, more profits and higher salaries.

HOW TO USE A HOSPITAL: After you have fought to the level you want to heal, then go to the battle page and under the fight button is a "Hospital" button, this will take you to your region's hospital. Next to the word "Hospital" is a small blue "Heal" button. Press this to use the hospital. Alternatively, you can reach the hospital by going to your region page by following the link for your region next to your name on your profile page.

5. Know your limits

Each battle lasts 24 hours of server time. So you should be able to fight twice in a battle. You are more effective (if you are lower wellness) to use the first day to increase your wellness and the second day to fight fully.

DO NOT "OVER-FIGHT" Example: Day 1 you are 50 health, you are in The Northeast. You fight once. You are 40 health and you heal to 90. DO NOT FIGHT AGAIN THAT DAY. Start Day 2 at 90 health and fight 4 times down to 50 and then heal again. You are at 100. In two days, you increased your health by 50 wellness. Unless ordered to or the strategic situation requires it, DO NOT FIGHT MORE AFTER YOU HEAL.

6. Know how to fight smart.

Always Train first. Training only takes 1 wellness and increases your strength which increases damage. Then Fight. Then Heal and then Work. You will increase your wellness, your strength, your damage and your productivity.

7. A Word About Resistance Wars.

IMPORTANT: In Resistance Wars, make sure you know which side you are fighting for before pushing the fight button. Sometimes Resistance Wars are used strategically and we want to lose them. So make sure in these circumstances that you FIGHT SMART and avoid friendly fire.

Lastly, I would like to thank Digits and his staff for their tireless work to implement this plan. Kudos to you, Digits.
