Cont. "The start of my life in this new world"

Day 547, 09:34 Published in Canada Canada by frankypicoto

The next day I woke up at 11:00 I had some food and went off to my work producing diamonds, I met lots of nice people along the way, some of them new too. After working I went off to train and I could already notice that I was getting stronger and was able to lift heavier weights. I was planning to go to the social club that afternoon to ask some questions about wars and jobs…I was anxious to learn new things.

When I came into the social club I noticed there were even more people there “Great”-I thought- more people for me to meet. That evening I asked as many questions as I had time to ask and people answered them with pleasure, I was happy everyone wanted to help me.

In the next few days everything went as normal, working, training, socializing…
But…I was starting to notice that I was getting more tired every day, every day I told myself that I had to sleep longer, but, every day it got worse until one day I was walking back home from the social club and I fainted, fainted just there in the middle of the street.

When I woke up I was in the hospital, some of the friends I’d made at the social club were there waiting for me to wake up, they explained that I was to rest for a few days because I had been working too hard and my so called “wellness” (I guessed that stood for health) couldn’t take one more day of hard working. My friends told me that I should change to a job were I didn’t need to work very hard, “a Q1 job” they said. Apparently they had different names for everything, which was something else I needed to learn. I did as they said 3 whole days without working or training. When I was finally out of the hospital I promised myself I would take things slowly now, I got myself a Q1 job and decided that I would keep working with diamonds.

My questions were all answered and I already felt like this was “home”, I didn’t actually have a home but the shelter worked for me. Soon I knew an awful lot about eRepublik (the name given to this world) and eCanada, I noticed there were all kinds of newspapers in this world and I decided I would like to have my own newspaper after all I’d always liked writing.

The launch of my newspaper was a success loads of people left comments that boosted me to write more, everyone was so nice, they complemented me on my achievements and my writing.
