Citizens of Vermont!

Can you believe this? Enzo Capizzi and T-Schultz are sure battling it out to tell you how to play this game! Yes they are. Both have stated what they want to do… never once have they asked what you want. I have personally contacted every citizen living in Vermont.

As the game doesn’t allow you to forward mail or keep a constant residence, I am afraid many people have yet to hear what I have to say. So, I am writing it here.

One constant that I have noticed in both of my opponents campaigns is how much respect they feel they have because they tell you about themselves. But let’s look at what you can actually see when you look at us all.

Enzo Capizzi – Libertarian – Level 13 National Rank 1306 Received two medals for accomplishments. Hard Worker and Super Soldier. XP 189 Fights 1 (Bio Manufacturing – 1 – Land – 4.22 – Strength – 5.131 – Age 4 Months.)

T-Schultz – USWP – Level 15 National Rank 415 Received two medals for accomplishments. Hard Worker and Super Soldier. XP 366 Fights 17 (Bio Manufacturing – 5.11 – Land 3.55 – Strength – 5.722 – Age 4 Months.)

Boss_Khamzi – Nationalist Party – Level 14 National Rank 981 Received one medal for an accomplishment. Hard worker. XP 234 Fights 50 (Bio Land – 4.1— Strength—4.779 – Age 1 Month.)

Not much there really…
So we are destined to fight a “War of Words”
Well Vermont here is what I propose…
I will serve you in the following ways.

Availability
I will make myself available by answering all PMs as soon as humanly possible.

Accountability
As I have seen, I will offer updates on the status of votes and the rationale behind it. These will be posted in my paper which of course all are welcome to subscribe.

Military
I will, through my deeds and actions, help keep this country’s military strong. As I have pointed out repeatedly, the military needs orders presented to it in a clear concise manner. We need to have a strong military, one that strengthens both new and older players. In my time in the eUSA NG I have been in a training unit and a political unit. Both have separate, but equally demanding, requirements. Being the LT of the 1st Squad 1st Division has put me in touch with many Congressmen. Not all agree with me but all afford me the respect my position deserves.

Dismantling any part of our great Army concerns me. This is the practice of Doves from way back. Now I am a Hawk and do not pretend to be otherwise. War strengthens those who are unafraid to fight. It kills the weak and buries the meek in self pity and fear. Not everyone is a Soldier, many will say this war is killing X when in fact it is helping y. Lessons of history must be applied to eRep as well. Stay strong in peace as well as war.

The pay structure of the Military should be restructured and the officers are trying to do this as we speak. If pay is a drag on the economy we should lessen it. Dismantling it entirely will lead to fewer soldiers fighting in war and a lower overall wellness. This is bad for companies, individuals, and the nation as a whole. I have suggested that we look into a pay for performance type of scale. One where a soldier must maintain high wellness, high readiness, and continuing improvement in Fitness/Strength.

Newer players
Here is my strength. I would like to make some proposals as the elected body of Congressmen to the eRepublik Administration. One which help the game and the new players.

Mentors
I feel that every player should have the opportunity to take on a Mentor from a group of selectively chosen veteran players. These players should be tied hand in hand and could even count towards the society builder accomplishment. The individuals mentoring should have to prove ability through knowledge and actual action/landmarks in the game. (Take a written test on game knowledge and be level X or higher.)

I also feel that newer players should be contacted by a citizens group of our country. This group (funded or not) could help mold players and direct them towards the necessary information to survive.

I further feel that an eRep for Dummies should be created. The wiki is ok… but let’s really get the eUSA moving towards prosperity.

Economy
I am admittedly weakest in this category. I have yet to own a corporation. However, as I stated before, I am the low income, high import tax kind of guy. Like T-Schultz stated before we can produce everything but High Quality Diamonds and Iron in our fair country. Imports of any Raw Materials besides these should be taxed heavily. This would make it easier for RM companies to flourish. Manufacturers of Goods will consequently either enter into long term contracts with companies, create their own sister companies, or streamline their operations to achieve higher profits. Tarrifs help us in products we can make ourselves.

MPP’s

MPP’s should be used sparingly. Although they are great things to have when we want to turtle… MPP’s actually detract in offensive campaigns. I mean, you actually have to get the other guy to attack you before MPP’s kick in. This was recently found out when we expected our MPP’s to activate in response to France’s counter-attack.
