Another Sad Display
Once again, as was pointed out in the recent edition of the White House Press Releases, the Congress is again seeing an excess of rogue proposals. This irritates me more than it might others because I served in Congress ans somehow avoided making myself look like an idiot, or breaking the code that Congress is asked (required if you prefer to call it that) to follow when they are elected. A major part of that is not wasting your all so precious two in-game proposals on shit the nation doesn't wanna see, like a donation proposal that was for $31 instead of the usual $400,000. This kind of crap makes our nation look bad, and more importantly, it is dishonorable of any player that dares to call themselves a member of the eUS Congress.
I cannot wait for the day when the admins allow the members of Congress in-game to remove one of their fellow Congresspeople via a two-thirds vote. That would be great, because then we could protect the integrity and honor of our nation's legislative body and no longer have a code that cannot be enforced via in-game methods.
I just wanted to make this statement because I have nothing better to do. Hope everyone shares these thoughts, and have a great day America.

Kicking people from congress and removal of citizenship would both be nice features.
great, we have citizens that would love the chance to serve in congress and we get these douchebags instead

Well, that's the bad thing about our situation. Most people who serve in Congress are good people, and even if I might disagree with their opinions, I would gladly trust that they would still have the nation's best interests at heart.
With the PTO threats from parties like the former RLC and the current one I'm hearing about from France, I feel as though things are not gonna get any better unless we take some sort of decisive action.

EDEN is at war against us, we have to respond!!
Honestly, I think that the system needs several changes. A prospective proposal should require a healthy number people to click a 'support' button before it is even made. The President should have the power to veto the proposal without consequences during that time if it is not an impeachment. Impeachments for congresspersons as you suggested should be added, but I think that any impeachment should also block that person from running again for a few months and confer a visible status in-game.
@Jason Darby, absolutely if the person was removed from Congress they should be prevented from running again for a period of no less than three months.
Yes, deport bad citizens. Remove rogue Congress. Sounds wonderful until there are more of them than you. Then they kick you out!
As the PTO'ers continue to grow in numbers you will see more and more of this action. Eventually I fear that we will lose all control of the govt. (That's known as a successful PTO.) Then our only hope is a baby boom.

Losing some regions will also help by reducing the need for so many people to run for Congress. Proof that the 'good' people that want to run for Congress don't git off their asses and actually run. Go through FEC and a quality top 5 party to get to Congress and quit bitchin' about it.
PTOers are way more active than the mean eAmerican citizen. Also a big portion of our growing population consists in agents of EDEN ecountries.
We should create a commision that publishes a list of "trusted candidates" so people know who is going to work for the interests of eUSA. The deportation stuff... that may be a dangerous thing... for now we should close our borders with EDEN and, as I said in a recent article, go to war against them. This TO is a declaration of war.
This isn't just a mechanics problem, this is the byproduct of parties losing focus on what their role is in this country. We need to step up our game. Every citizen needs to be contributing to the protection of this nation and our elections. The best way to do that is to get involved in a loyal eUS party!!!
I think we can all agree that this issue is nowhere near from being decided and that ultimately, history is going to judge our nation for what we do at such a time as this, when we face an issue (PTO threat) and can either take the steps to address it head on or dodge things and risk the state of the nation.
