I enjoyed my time representing you in Congress. Now is the time to congratulate Jacob Stevenson and wish him success.

Thank you for the opportunities to serve that you gave me. We have been through a War that almost destroyed us. We have seen great victories. We have gone through periods of prosperity and those of misfortune. We have learned from all these experiences. The eUS is in a period of strength now. We must remember how we reached that condition and remain wary of mistakes.

I have told you at length of my thoughts about policy. So, for now, I wish you Happy New Year.
