Christmas Congressional campaign for Louisiana
Tyrsis
Greetings fellow Americans,
I am here to officially announce my December campaign for Congress in Louisiana. I will be aiming for re-election into Congress, in continuation of my successful bid for Congress in November. Once again, I will be running under the nomination of the Libertarian Party.
For those who do not know me yet, I started out in Louisiana before V1, where I joined the USA Army and started this small readership publication to publish economic commentaries for the USA. Since being elected to Congress, I have published informative weekly updates on Congressional issues and votes. Throughout my term, I have not missed a single vote, and have gained a great deal of political experience in the process. I am also currently a Captain within the Army. With my leadership experience in the Army, knowledge of the political economy, and activity and experience in Congress, I can ensure that your vote for me will not be wasted.
Once again, I am running for Congress to represent not only all Louisianians, but all Americans, to protect their general welfare and security. I will be an active and reliable candidate who will ensure that my vote will count for Louisiana and all of America, by rejecting bills that will threaten the prosperity and safety of our great state and country, while supporting bills that are necessary to preserve the liberty and prosperity of our people.
Here is an outline of my congressional platform:
Economy
America is a great nation because we can afford freedom to its people. It is a great nation because of the free enterprise of its individuals, because of you. My role in Congress is to foster this free and voluntary enterprise of the American individual, by keeping taxes lower and giving you the choice to purchase without the government intervening in your decisions in the form of tariffs and other unnecessary regulations such as the minimum wage. I will keep all of these at a minimum.
In addition to this, I will support the oversight and regulation of government spending, in order to ensure it is never ill-spent money that could have been returned to taxpayers for them to decide how to spend it instead. The government does not know what its people want better than the people do for themselves, and hence it should be spending as little of their money as possible.
National Defense
To protect the freedom of our people, we need a strong national defense. Our army is unmatched in numbers, and we have a place in the noble peace-keeping ATLANTIS alliance. I will encourage Congress to discuss solutions to maintaining and supporting our large Army, as well as appropriating the funding for defense systems and hospitals. I believe that the primary use of taxes should be for national defense, because every other tax dollar is better spent by the enterprising American individual.
*
I believe in the passion and dreams of our citizenry far more than the power of government to solve the problems of our nation. A vote for me on Christmas Day will be a vote to sideline unnecessary use of government power and a vote for the enthusiasm of the American people.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,
Tyrsis
Comments
I support Tyrsis/Coblin in his bid for re-election. Although I'd like to see him more active in the forums sometimes, he has been fully active in the voting, and has been the only congressman so far to publish regular fully detailed reports of his congressional activity for the public to see. I hope Louisiana recognizes the asset they have in Tyrsis
NoneSuch has endorsed me in his comprehensive list of 51 candidates for 51 states:

I'm excited! He is one Congressman I truly respected in my last term.
Additionally, Angrr, on behalf of the UCP has endorsed me in his version of recommended candidates:

I would like to thank Angrr for the endorsement and constructive criticism (suggesting I could be more active), but I would suggest that I was about as active as people like AidenA and Troy Roberts (if not more), on the forums. Perhaps my name recognition is poor because I changed from coblin to Tyrsis half-way through my term.
Finbar Azulos agree😛 "I would say thats probably it Tyrsis. I know that for awhile I just thought you were a guy that stole Colbin's avatar 😛 More than likely he just didn't realized that you changed names."
Thanks
Also, Nathan Woods endorsed me in his list of recommended candidates as well:

Thank you very much.
