Chris Stanwick is Dying

Day 946, 13:26 Published in USA Pakistan by Longbaugh

Chris Stanwick, one of my best friends in this game for a long time now, is requesting deletion.

He is, in my own opinion, likely the most ambitious player the New World has ever seen. Though, you probably wouldn’t know this if you didn’t know him. He never never won the presidency, never was a Battle Hero, never a Resistance Hero, and never reached the 20 strength threshold. Most unfortunately, he’ll be remembered by most of you as the man who was forced to resign as Deputy Secretary of State of the United States last July under Harrison Richardson because of the alleged “leak” of a self-penned peace proposal between U.S. and PEACE forces during World War III.

To myself and others, however, he’ll be remembered as having the absolute best page on the wiki as well as being one of the most consistently professional and respectful people this game has ever seen. We can all learn from his example.

He's quit once before and is requesting deletion of his account because, as he told me, he wants to eliminate the temptation to return. He’s informed me that he’s going to be a dad by the end of the year and, therefore, has much more important priorities now and for the rest of his life than that of eRepublik.

Send him your regards while you still can. The New World will forever mourn his loss, but we shall rejoice in his gain the same.

And death shall have no dominion.
Dead mean naked they shall be one
With the man in the wind and the west moon;
When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone,
They shall have stars at elbow and foot;
Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
Under the windings of the sea
They lying long shall not die windily;
Twisting on racks when sinews give way,
Strapped to a wheel, yet they shall not break;
Faith in their hands shall snap in two,
And the unicorn evils run them through;
Split all ends up they shan't crack;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
No more may gulls cry at their ears
Or waves break loud on the seashores;
Where blew a flower may a flower no more
Lift its head to the blows of the rain;
Though they be mad and dead as nails,
Heads of the characters hammer through daisies;
Break in the sun till the sun breaks down,
And death shall have no dominion.
