With the Libertarian Party no more, as the Malaysian Nationalist Movement takes over the former party's structure, Chirdruid has decided to quietly resign and gravitates toward the party nearest to his libertarian politics.

It appears that the Democratic Action Party is the closest party and it is only natural for him to join the party if he has any ambition.

Asked why not simply found a new party, he said "maintaining a political party is tough as well as expensive".

"I prefer to slightly be active in politcs and focus more time on my businesses."
