Change in the MDU - CV James steps down
MDU Press Office
I would like to take this opportunity to announce I will not be seeking re-election at this point for the MDU party presidency.
I am highly proud of the work the party has done, that I have overseen, these past few months in turning itself around and truly becoming a viable, reliable alternative for eUK.
However, I do not believe I have the time or experience to dedicate towards the continued expansion of the Movement for Democratic Unity and for that reason I believe it would be in the party's interest for someone new to lead the party forward. I will of course continue to play a key role within the party and will do all in my power to help and aid any future leader with anything they may need.
I am making this announcement here now so any citizen wishing to put themselves forward for the job have time to prepare a candidateship campaign; anyone who is a member of the party can put themselves forward and I strongly urge anyone who wants to, to do so. We are all about democracy as a party and so the more candidates and choice we have, the better.
We welcome all citizens to the party, new or experienced, if they agree with out basic principles and wish to lead the party forward. (Quick tip - any citizens wanting to start a serious leadership bid - come join us on the forums and campaign on there!)
You can announce your candidateship below, and then enter the official race here.
Many thanks to everyone who has given myself and the MDU their support these past 3 months.
All thats left to say is...let the race begin!
Yours faithfully,
CV James
(Outgoing) Movement for Democratic Unity Party President
eUK Telegraph Press Director

I will of course continue to play a prominent role in the party and may well stand for leadership again in the future. But at the moment it is time for a change.
