My name is Jayson V, and as some of you may know, I am running for Congress in Ontario. In past articles, I have indicated my positon on many of the important issues for Canada. I wanted to take this opportunity to let the voters know what specifically I would work on in my first term of Congress if elected.

Thirty Days to Make a Difference

If elected, in my first term of Congress, I commit to bring up the following issues and work with all members regardless of party to facilitate a solution:

-Revamp/revise the new citizen message to be more engaging and informative, including links to more resources available to new Canadians.
-Lower income taxes so that YOU have more money in your pocket, which will stimulate the Canadian economy.
-Advocate for a careful devaluation of our currency to improve prospects for businesses looking to export to new markets and offer assistance to business owners to reach these markets.
-Work for higher import taxes to protect the domestic market from competition and increase business profitability.
-Introduce the concept of daily Training Wars as a fundamental right, giving every citizen and our country an opportunity to grow stronger.
-Take a stand to protect or secure the sovereignty of friendly nations through action and support.
-Advocate for legislation that increases government transparency and accountability
-Advocate for clear mandates, goals and public reporting for all government run programs and ensure that ALL citizens have equal access to these programs.
-To further increase the sophistication of our foreign affairs department and the diplomacy process.

Thank you for your consideration, the possibility of your vote, and the opportunity to serve my country. My agenda in Congress, if elected, will be an ambitious one, but I believe Canadians deserve nothing less!

My Promise, My Pledge to You

-If elected, I will propose a motion in Congress that all politicians donate their 5 Gold to government. If this motion fails, I will disperse the 5 Gold I receive to citizens through my newspaper.

-If elected as a member of Congress I promise to listen to the people who elect me. I will be available if you have an issue or a question, and will do my utmost to facilitate a solution.

-I pledge that my votes in Congress will be for what is best for Canada, and not based on sentiment, emotions or partisanship. When I need more information to make a choice I will seek out advice from those with more experience. When I am unsure as to how the people of Canada feel about an issue, I will ask for input.

-I vow to act with honour in politics and not reduce myself to partisan politics. This however does not mean that I will not stand up for what I believe is right and what you believe is right. I will defend the rights of all regardless of political affiliation, status or power in this game. I will act as a Congressman for all Canadians, regardless of whether they voted for me or not.

-I will publish all my voting records and work hard to promote government transparency in Congress. I will also be your eyes and ears in Congress. If an issue comes up that I think the citizens should know of, you can count on me bringing it up.
