Bueno, acá les dejo un resumen de los cambios en las Condiciones de Servicio y Privacidad anunciadas por eRepublik.

Condiciones de Servicios

Dentro de todo el documento se cambió la palabra shouts por la de feeds. Esto se debe a que en ninguna parte del documento se definía lo que era un "shout", por lo que en términos legales, este significaba literalmente "grito", haciendo posible el uso de los "feeds" sin restricción alguna.

Dentro los demás cambios, algunos son cosas pequeñas como cambiar elementos que ya no existen o tyopos, pero hay dos cambios "importantes". El primero es en el punto 4.1.2, en donde por un error, se autorizaba la exportación de información para uso comercial. Esto no es menor ya que permitía usar información de los usuarios por parte de terceros para lucrar. El otro cambio es en el punto 17.2, en donde se agrega una frase completa. En ella se autoriza el envío de emails conteniendo información sobre nuevos juegos y/o desarrollo de aplicaciones por parte de a empresa y sus asociados (Partners). Esto puede interpretarse como varias cosas, por ejemplo (y la más preocupante) que eRepublik se asocie con redes sociales (por ejemplo) y que comiencen a enviarte pubicidad. Pero también, si vamos más lejos, puede significar que eRepublik está pensando en vender su servicio a un desarrollador de juegos o simplemente, que se está preparando para introducir alguna plataforma o aplicación móvil.

13.2 You may use eRepublik Gold to create citizen ads, create virtual companies, upgrade virtual companies, buy virtual company licenses, create virtual organisations, create virtual parties, create virtual newspapers, declare wars, attack regions, sign alliances, start resistance wars, buy wellness boxes, issue money laws and become virtual party candidates. eRepublik Gold may be transferred from virtual company to user, from user to user and so on. eRepublik Gold can also be exchanged into other eRepublik currencies which can be used for the purposes of buying in-game products such as food, weapons, houses, and other products available in the Marketplace section of the Website: http://www.erepublik.com/en/market/country-1-industry-0-quality-0- citizen_account-7720/1. You acknowledge that we may, at any time and at our sole discretion, add new services for additional fees and charges, or amend fees and charges for existing services and may determine that any fees and charges are payable by the amount of eRepublik Gold specified by us or for an amount specified by us.

BONUS TRACK

PRIVACIDAD

Está caída la página con los términos de privacidad antiguos de eRepublik por lo que no puedo compararlos, pero les dejo algunos puntos interesantes que pueden o no haber estado estipulados antes.

El punto 2 de los Política de Privacidad detalla los temas sobre registro de datos. Dentro de ellos pueden ver que pueden acceder a datos tales como cualquier cosa que nosotros les respondamos via email o publiquemos en la página, pero también pone un límite a la edad de los jugadores.

Ok, esto es interesante:

Acá habla sobre la información personal publicada en feeds, etc. Resulta que todo eso si puede ser usado por terceros, pero lo más interesante es la frase en negritas. Esto estipula que si alguien publica su nombre de usuario en algún feed (por ejemplo en un comentario), un tercero (incluido cualquier usuario) puede y está autorizado a enviar mensaje no deseados (spam). Así que acá eRepublik autoriza el spam xD.

Bueno, como ven, cualquiera puede solicitar a eRepublik que le entreguen toda la información que tienen sobre uno, eso si, puede requerir de cargos administrativos.

Hace poco pude leer un problema de un usuario que quería eliminar su cuenta.

8.2 As a registered user of eRepublik and/or eRepublik Service, you can modify and update your personal information at any time by accessing your public profile on eRepublik and choosing the option “Edit Profile” or by contacting us at office@erepublik.com. If you choose to delete your account, you may contact us at the above email address or via the Support Centre available in the “Contact” section of eRepublik and request that your account be deleted. However , your username, avatar, gender, posts on eRepublik, such as shouts, private messages, forum posts, and so on, will remain recorded in the eRepublik History. The only information that will accompany such posts will be your Username, avatar and gender .

En este punto se explica que cualquier usuario puede solicitar eliminar su cuenta, pero que su nombre de usuario, posts, mensajes privados etc seguiran publicados en eRepublik (es decir, no se elimina la cuenta xD).
