WHY THE ALAMO WAS IMPORTANT

Every American is familiar with the battle cry 'Remember the Alamo', and most know that the Alamo isn't simply a building that stands to testament in San Antonio, Texas. The Battle of the Alamo occurred as a seige from February 23rd to March 6th, 1836. In that seige, 131 Texians (yes, I am spelling that right for now) fought of an army of fifteen hundred Mexican soldiers under General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. And while all 131 defenders died at the Alamo, most people are not totally aware of the Alamo's importance to the Texan War for Independence. This war resulted in the formation of the Republic of Texas, a sovereign nation that was annexed by the United States in 1845.

The Alamo was first moved upon by Colonel James Bowie, who was ordered to relieve the fort of its artillery and destroy it. Finding that he had no way to transport the artillery, Bowie was convinced to stay and defend the fort. Colonel William Travis was sent to the fort with 30 men to reinforce Bowie's battalion. The Mexican Army arrived in Bexar (now San Antonio) on February 23rd, and began to barrage the Alamo.

On March 3rd, Colonel Travis sent a dispatch to the Texian government to send reinforcements, as he was running low on supplies. The dispatch arrived to the Texian government three hours before the battle ended, too late to reinforce the Texian garrison. After this defeat, the Texian government fled, as did several citizens, due to the fact that Santa Anna had a clear path to capture Texas up to the Sabine River (its eastern border with Louisiana). Sam Houston gathered 400 volunteers under his command to relieve the Alamo, but on hearing that it had fallen, Texians joined Houston's army en masse to fight Santa Anna's army. That same army would win the Battle of San Jacinto, securing Texas's independence.

CALIFORNIA IS OUR ALAMO

California was a state that the eUS government recognized as a strategically important one. It was the land entry point for the Indonesian invasion, and as we were fighting a war on three fronts, it was imperative to defend it. And with a Q5 Defense System, we seemed confident it could not be taken. If that is true, we were wrong. It was taken. And the shouts I heard this morning echoed a general malaise over this loss.

However, California must be our Alamo, our rallying cry. And with two battles raging in Kansas and Tennessee, we must halt the advances here. While it may seem hopeless, we have only lost 10 states, and 4 are safely in Canadian hands. Portugal approaches us from the Southeast, Indonesia from the West, and the Russian attack is an internal cancer. Let's cut the cancer.

Remember Nova Scotia. Remember California. Let's get our country back.

Indonesia had to tank very hard that sure. so did USA. both battle heros were over 32.000 damage. tons of gold both side. But we won whit tnaking not like USA in many case. Indonesians didnt need to take gold loan from any country .
But our biggest streangh isnt in tanks. Thats why we can keep up the attack .
It was a great battle for both side. Congratulation.

Go Peace! In all front!

its always the same talk...

you guys lose a battle, and to avoid the shame you simply come up with some lame excuse of why it doesn't mean anything, america will prevail in the end blablabla...in case you haven't noticed yet, america doesn't have a chance at prevailing

it started before the war, your president said PEACE didn't have the guts to attack; then, when we attacked, you said you would never lose american soil; then you said you would never lose an important state with a high population; see a pattern there?

still..nice article, totally voted

and please, i'm not a troll and i'm definitely not here to spit propaganda...it's a game and the war is fun, so keep it up, really! don't give up!

but hey, zoli has a point, "you will have your Alamo in Texas so do not call California your Alamo yet" (x2) lol

good fight guys, see ya on the next battlefied
