CâMON F.U.P, BE FAIR TO US ALL: A Message from the Coalition of the Free
CâMON F.U.P, BE FAIR TO US ALL: A Message from the Coalition of the Free
Political competition is in the nature of the game, but are you taking our wider national interests into consideration? A message to FUP and all voters.
Dear brothers and sisters of the Federal Unity Party (F.U.P.),
Please donât take this the wrong way. We do not wish to begin a war of insults, only constructive criticismâŚ

THE OLD F.U.P. -
Last term, F.U.P. can be said to be going through an all-time low. While the Presidency was under the control of F.U.P. member of Suzhaimiz, the government was not entirely F.U.P.âs fault, but this wasnât helped by the fact that F.U.P. members during this period were rarely to be seen.
Only a few did (and Hiyamoonâs article âAnswer me Suzhaimiz: Did you ever make Social Office for you own useâ, has mysteriously been removed), while others remained quiet instead of providing the constructive criticism he should have got from his party. Such âtribalâ solidarity can often get in the way of true progress.

(We hope the âtribalâ days of Suzhaimiz are over. Picture of Suzhaimiz resting in his fancy residence in eChina today)
THE NEW F.U.P â A NEW MOON
Recently, however, after the Party Presidency elections, F.U.P. under its new leader Hiyamoon has undertaken plausible attempts to reform itself by:
1) Gaining more members
2) Transparency in party finances
3) More activity in media and forum
But we canât help shake the feeling that there are still many things that could be improved, some of which urgently need to be handled before our Congress elections begin.
1) Gaining more members
This is a necessity in politics, as more members means more possibility of winning elections, and brings a fresh injection of new blood and ideas. F.U.P. has recently been trying to do this through intensified campaigning in the media.
BUT
I refer especially also to the advert you made calling on F.U.P. people to rejoin the party. Have you taken into consideration the dangers of doing this at a time when PTO-ers are ready to re-enter Congress? FUP are already the party with the largest amount of members (more than 150), so do you really need more members at a time when we could all be coordinating a way to increase the members of the three smaller non-PTO parties (PR, PAFP, and the Hypnotoad Party) to keep the PTOer party (DCM) out.
PAFP is in need of help since many of its RL Iranian members have not been able to log-on because the RL Iranian government has banned access to erepublik.
There have also been complaints from PR that FUP have been trying to convince many of their members to leave and join F.U.P.
I ask you, is this the correct thing to do at a time when we are under threat?
2) Transparency in party finances
This was a good move, but while we applaud all efforts towards more transparency and accountability, we hope that this is more than a gimmick to boost the popularity of donors. For example, why has the F.U.P. included the recent scandal-ridden President Suzhaimiz in its list of donors, a person who while his theft has not been proven conclusively, still did a lot to ruin transparency and accountability of government while in office. Why have F.U.P. not been as vocal in fighting for Congress calls for more accountability from the government in financial issues?
We hope this new move to make party finances transparent reflects a real change in F.U.P. and is not just a way to show off donations. Donât let the buck just stop at the F.U.P headquarterâs door.
3) More activity in media and forum
Again, we welcome the efforts of the new F.U.P. leadership to create more activity in the media and in the forum. Still the overall record of F.U.P. participation is poor compared to that of other parties. While you have some good media writers such as Richi, Hiyamoon, Colinar and Cratia_man, it would be good to see more from your other members for a change (especially considering you have so many of them!). When it comes to the forum however, your record is much worse, and without the presence of the few active members such as Colinar, gen_tiger, Hiyamoon and the occasional comment from Suzhaimiz and Wan Muhammad Hasif, we would have forgotten you actually exist.
We hope the new generation of F.U.P. members can change this.

(The new F.U.P., a new rejuvenated? .. Or is it still haunted by the ghosts of its past?)
This is not an all out attack on F.U.P. We are calling on you to fulfil your duties, especially in such a time when more national unity is needed, not partisanship. If you are truly a party of âUnityâ:
1) Join our Coalition of the Free
2) Please call on some of your members to refill the ranks of the parties that are severely in need of members (PAFP, PR, Hypnotoad)
3) Cease your aggressive campaigning for new member to the detriment of others who are badly in need of them.
To all voters who have not decided which party to join, please take all the above into consideration. Join the Peace and Freedom Party (PAFP), Pakatan Rakyat (PR) or the Hypnotoad Party now! The country needs you to make the correct choice! Join the Coalition of the Free! Become a Street Freedom Fighter today!

Thanks,
THE COALITION OF THE FREE

FIIIIIRSST!
lol
VOTED!
vote.
good article!
I as PR former President and current adviser approve and support this article.I'm demanding FUP to stop stealing other party members because the eSerbs threat is still here.
For once stop from being so tribal and start being a community.Stop sending message to PR members and other parties to recruit them especially stop asking my deputy to join you guys thank you.
It isn't going to gain them much support with nationalists.

"While you have some good media writers such as Richi, Hiyamoon, Colinar and Cratia_man, it would be good to see more from your other members for a change (especially considering you have so many of them!)"
I am not that Good
and...
"When it comes to the forum however, your record is much worse, and without the presence of the few active members such as Colinar, gen_tiger, Hiyamoon and the occasional comment from Suzhaimiz and Wan Muhammad Hasif, we would have forgotten you actually exist.

I simply dont go to the Forum... even i hardly ever read (visit) erepublik official Forum.. (that is why, i havent get access to v2 erepublik.. i applied for it 4 days ago )
why?...
I dont know.. i am not "interested" in forum... I am playing this game and write in media... this is "enough" for me...
Once again,what a good articles , i mean the styles ,
oh btw.. I am just PR of FUP..
I am not asking anything from FUP.. I decline Congress position...
because I joint Hiya just to help him..
nothing more..
I, as current Peace and Freedom Party President, approve and support this article, But not demanding to stop stealing members, I would like to ask our smart emalaysian friends to make the best decision, if they decided to join FUP and give their eCountry to PTO-ers, not me not any body else can do nothing.
BUT, unfortunately I heard that FUP asked some friends of mine to join their party ( sending in-game mails ), I hope you receive some good answers
wow.. dunno about stealing members of other party..
BUT
this is only my personal view lar,, pls dont take it too seriously;
for me, its ok lah if they asked members of other party to join FUP coz its the nature of politics maaa...
this is how to make this game more interesting.
if u dont like Party A, then you can jump to Party B. simple.
we also got our own members who jump into other parties but we let them go.
i want to be sincere with u all la, a long time ago, when i met CDV for the first time, n we had a private talk, he also asked me y i want to stay at FUP and he asked me to join DAP (former DPP). but i refused it for some reason, only few people knows why i wont leave FUP, unless IF they change their logo.
*n 1 more, n i know that CDV must already forgot this. but the 'Democratic People's Party' name is my idea, or one of my idea (if there were already some1 gave that name'.
but i remember it clearly, i gave that name to CDV.
i am telling this all because i will not be able to on9 after this,, i will be leaving for college soon n BYE BYE EREPUBLIK!
it is normal to me if it is not within election period. but to ask people to join FUP when the election is just around the corner may leads to problems. have you guys ever think of it? it is just my point of view..
ice dragon : nope, for me it's one of political strategy n election campaign, haha! lol
for RL maybe..not emalaysia..
haha..lol!
nice to meet you..
