Britain's Failed War

What an embarassment the war in France has been.
We went in with guns blazing, with media articles of destroying the weak French, and what a walkover it would be. This was set to be the definitive end to PEACE by ATLANTIS. The USA, Canada and UK all aggresively invaded France after no direct provocation claiming this war was in response to repression of Swiss independence, which has now been proven to be a lie.
With 3 hours left in the Battle for Lower-Normandy, the UK is set to loose its only conquered region back to France. Four campaigns for Picardy and Champagne-Ardenne failed miserably and France was confidently able to secure them.
The USA and Canada have now been driven out of France, and the UK will be by mid-day. This is the price we have paid for a badly-managed, disorganised act of aggression.
It is vital that we now negotiate with France for an immediate cease-fire. However, it will now be on their terms. Had we not stopped with Lower Normandy and properly secured it, we might not be in the humiliating situation we are now in. What is now to stop France and her other PEACE allies from attacking our territories in Belgium?
This war must be ended soon, and following on from that, questions must be asked of why we were taken into this conflict, and why we fared so terribly.
With congress elections looming, eUK citizens must consider if they wish to re-elect Congressmen who took us into this horrific war.
Lessons must be learnt. We now know we are not the force we thought we were; what would happen if France or another PEACE nation was to attack the UK itself? Would we too crumble at their feet?

Now that Lower Normandy has fallen to the French, what is to stop them from conquering Belgium and then Britain.
We must not start fighting amongst ourselves,now is the time for all the EUK to pull together and prepare for possible Invasion.

MPPs are borked, as irrespective of what battlefield the fighting was taking place in France it was always 6v1 (biased towards the French) due to the MPPs in place - even when the French were attacking.
i think what needs to happen now is to ask ourselves the question, do YOU want to surrender to the french? because last time i checked surrendering was their job...
so does the mpp mean that if they attack belgian they will still have their allys ?

A cease fire is not a surrender. They have got all their regions back that we stole, and our lands are for the moment safe.
We need citizens moving out of London to the border regions ASAP.
i think we need to move the navy into belgian territory. if they attack mainland uk then our MPP would be triggered so that would be ok.

I think that regardless of why we got into the war, and the successes/failures, we need to not sit around and complain, but get out there and fight for our country. We can not, must not, be humiliated by France or Peace. If we are to negotiate with them, it must be on OUR terms, not because we got our asses handed to us on a plate. All citizens MUST do their part! Get out there and fight; get out there and work.
We all have a solemn duty to protect eUK soil, even if that is soil we have taken from the French. So long as it has the Union Flag flying over it, it is British, and if we sit back and do nothing, then we are a disgrace to our country!

Glad to be of service...one thing you will realise is that the eBritish have far more honour than any other nation, but we also have a lot of pride too (for good or bad).

i have no doubt that the PEACE would try to conquer the UK, i have no doubt in my mind that they will now they have re captured Normandy (for now) however they should remeber that if the UK was able to hold their own against 5 countries up until now, we will most certainly be able to defeat the french once our allys are able to join in the fight.
so my message to peace is this, cross OUR channel if you dare, try to take our lands if you have the gaul, but do it at the cost of your own demise. you have won the battle but you wont win the war eBritian will prevail the british always do.

well if i understand some of what i have read correctly we lost because we were fighting unfair odds as the enemy was using the trivia decoder. surely this is cheating and steps should be taken to remove these cheaters from the game. i for one have some morals and i would hope my fellow country men and women share these morals too. its what makes us british! all wars should be declared null and void by the game admins until the people using cheats are weeded out and removed from the game!
We may still win this war I say, we simply need to ensure that we are organizing for a strong counter to PEACE's peacecorps.

@Jacen: no offense buddy, but judging by the overall attitude that I see these days on eRepublik, I can definitely say that we Italians have nothing to learn from you in terms of either honour or pride.
It' time for UK to sue for PEACE now you have to pay only a little fee and no territory at all.
But later I think PEACE will accept only unconditional surrender,so now you can choose.(for now)

I think what PEACE fails to remember is this; the eUK can and will stand up to any invading force that dares set foot on british soil! Lets simply look at the numbers from the last battle...

Now, please correct me if I am wrong (as I am still trying to grasp some of the fundamentals), but do you not need to be a neighbouring country to actually attack? And if that is so, is it not also true that you can only attack alone? So eFrance verses eBritain (not even factoring in our MPPs) will be a slaughter. You Frenchies will die on eBritish streets.
Again, remind me if I am wrong, but I think eBritain can be proud of it's numbers, considering we weren't fighting one but SIX armies!!! Pretty impressive.
So come to Britain...we could use the XP for the fights, and will enjoy the absolute slaughter that will occur.

It's a pretty pathetic if not amusing state of affairs. This could only be a very British kind of defeat. Makes me wish I had took more interest in the reports so I could understand why this happened. From my ignorant standpoint, it looked all rather gang-ho, all arrogant, all rather snobby about defeating the French. Which is ironic because I thought it was the frogs who were meant to be arrogant and elitist. Skimming reports felt like it was 1914, the war would be over before Christmas, well it seems the case, though there's no stalemate, just huge embarrassment.
Honestly why were a lot of the coverage and statements so patriotic and full of themselves? I love being British, but this patriotism and dissing of the French felt rather American style. Felt almost like Iraq, oh dear. Where did it all go wrong? I personally want heads to go rolling in the government. *shrugs*

First from my ignorant patriotism stand point, Iraq was pwnd by the US.. The was over in 3 weeks.. Now they die from insurgents..
The main reason UK lost to France is the Hospital bug that only seemed to effect the Atlantis side of the war set UK back 2 days...
Had Atlantis pulled together as one, and attacked region by region, instead of well 4 separate groups.. the french and allies would have been pwned. The each country in the war seemed to have a conflict with in it's self.. The US soldiers quit fighting cause they weren't getting the supplies from there President, UK I don't know what happend here.. everyone just quit.. Spain's tanks got banned..
Or maybe PEACE had better strategy. Either way, loosing to the French is embarrassing. To say the least..

I say we take our lessons from this, regroup and get right back in there. Anyone up for Normandy landings? 😛
