Breaking Down the Alliances

Day 1,860, 13:38 Published in USA USA by Israel Stevens

With all the craziness that’s going on these days, with alliances rising and falling in the blink of an eye, I thought I would take a moment to analyze the three major alliances. Those would be EDEN, TWO and Circle of Trust (CoT).

Erepublik Defense and Economic Network (EDEN)

Most current picture of EDEN I could find

This alliance is collapsing upon itself. Ireland just held a referendum to leave the alliance, and is actively seeking a new home. Romania just sold out Ukraine when they joined up with Hungary. They basically divided up Ukraine between themselves. That would be fine, except for the part where Ukraine is also a member of EDEN with Romania.

It’s not an alliance that I would ever want to see the United States join. Unless you come from Croatia, Greece or Romania, there is no respect in the alliance. You can see that, as Romania had no qualms about stabbing Ukraine in the back.

They are also incapable of focusing damage outside of the Balkans due to Croatia and Romania’s selfishness. They let Taiwan get steamrolled by the United States and Brazil. And even in the battles that Taiwan won, EDEN lost almost all of the other battles they were engaged in.

The World is Ours (TWO)

This is the best they could come up with?

The Serbians continue to be the most boring people on the planet. With the fourth version of PEACE, Serbia has done nothing new. Same old countries, all continuing their roles as puppets of Serbia. It makes you wonder if Spain, Poland and Hungary ever get sick of doing Serbia’s bidding. Even the logo is terrible. Like, the worst image for an alliance I’ve ever seen. even SoL had a better picture.

There’s nothing new here, and it is not the alliance for the United States. The Serbians don’t believe in fair game play, nor are they generally good people to be around. Bubba had it right.

Circle of Trust (CoT)

About 100x better than TWO’s picture

Lastly there is CoT. This is by far the most intriguing alliance. They are founded on the basic premise of equality. All members have the same rights and political power as any other nation. This is something that Terra employed while it was still functional, and it worked well for them. Unlike TWO which is dictated by Serbia, or EDEN which is dictated by Croatia and Romania, Circle of Trust pushes for equality across the board.

This alliance often times gets lumped in with TWO, but their leadership is adamant that they are a unique alliance but with member nations that have ties to TWO. I tend to believe them, and look at the shared MPPs by TWO and CoT as more of a defensive maneuver. Sort of how Terra needed EDEN MPPs in order to be viable, CoT needs some TWO MPPs to keep themselves safe. The alliance almost always places orders to fight for CoT nations however.

This is the only alliance that I could see the USA joining. They promote the equality and true brotherhood that Terra had, something that appeals to Americans. They also have a strong leadership unlike EDEN, and would still give America the chance to fight against Serbia/Hungary/Poland (TWO).

What do you think about the alliances?
