Ancient Hebrew wisdom dictates that one should not move the boundary stones of one’s forefathers.

In the aftermath of my decision to serve as Chief of Staff in what was a potential Henry Arundel PoTUS administration, I have come upon a boundary stone.

Surfing in the ether of what some refer to as the "meta-game" of eRepublik for a few days, it has come to my knowledge that there is cheating in the highest offices of our country. Indeed there is cheating also in the high offices of many other competitive eRepublik nations. The use of "multi" accounts - eRep citizens owned and operated by the owner/operator of another "main" eRep citizen - is common. Some individuals control dozens of "citizens". This is against the rules of the Administration and is therefore a practice lacking in integrity.

Multi-use is a Boundary Stone. One that ought not be crossed for any reason.

"Hi, let me help you."

The problem with cheating is that it invites more.

Those lacking respect for this Boundary Stone are quick to respond to the cheating of others with cheating of their own.

"Others are doing it."
"You have to do it in order to compete."
"It is naive to think you can succeed without some form of cheating."
These very thoughts are a response to the cheating that someone else has done. See how one person's lack of integrity invites, (some would say demands), and attacks the integrity of others?

Cheating is cancerous.

As I sat quietly and watched the campaign and election unfold these last few days, and as I began to learn more about how cheating has become commonplace, I knew that regardless of the election results, I would not be able to serve happily as Chief of Staff for any candidate but a Federalist who is dedicated to the ideals of a Government without corruption. I shared my thoughts and regrets with Pfeiffer and he was most gracious in handling what I said. Were he to win I was to fulfill my commitment to serve as his CoS only until he could replace me with a reasonable alternative. This article is not to be interpreted as an incrimination against him or anyone. I have been "told of" the cheating, I have not seen it take place.

My experience has renewed my energy for this game. There are areas where corruption is irrelevant, such as in the Media or in Economics. This is where the fun remains for me.

And yet I belong to a Party for whom Integrity in Government is a foundational Ideal. I will not abandon Politics to the cheaters any more than the Federalist Party would throw up her hands and invite multi-use. More than ever before, I believe that the Federalist Party is necessary.

There have been Federalists who, in the past have dabbled with multi-use. We have a policy for this. Our policy has been graciously enforced, though it has sharp teeth if need be. If you are a Federalist and have more than one account in eRepublik, cut it out. I don't care if it costs our Party "members". We will not succeed that way; we would only become a parody of who we ought to be. Step away from that Boundary Stone and do not touch it again.

Meanwhile we will continue to grow in strength as our Party increases in National Significance once more.

Really.

In addition to a renewed passion for my Party, I’ve got the bug to start writing again.

I gave my paper over to for Party use these past two months thinking that I could not publish the way I wanted to while serving in Party Office.

I’ve discovered quite the opposite is true. I cannot be the kind of Party President I want to be if I am unable to publish this paper.

So effective immediately, I will be publishing all Official Party writings in our Party Newspaper, Federalist Party News. Subscribe to it.

This newspaper will return as 16 Shells. I hope that by its publication it can be both a monument to the great writers who inspire me as well as a beacon to inspire the writings of others.

I hope my beloved readers will remain through this transition.

For the immediate future, I will be enjoying the excellent competition of the American Idol Competition which is in Round 1 Voting right now. Please pay attention to the excellent quality of several of these other writers. They are deserving of more than just your vote.

There is an inevitable fall for cheaters. Those who move the Boundary Stones staking a claim in territory marked off as verboten must one day fall. This is the universal energy of destruction which moves slowly at times but surely. Sometimes it deals its blows violently through defeat - perhaps a permaban, at other times the descent of the cheater is into bitterness and depravity. You cannot hold back this fall.

But there is also a Springtime for every Virtue. Those who honor the Boundary Stones set by Administration have received their reward and it grows. There is joy on this side of that borderline. There is life without the constant gnawing and grinding and biting and shadows that come with cheating. On this side of these Boundary Stones, Life is Good and getting better. You cannot hold back this Spring.
