BAM - The Fab Fifteen for June '09

July 1st, 2009 marks the start of the 3rd Shameless Plug Award for Best Article of the Month, or what "BAM" we call for short. Starting back on Ferbruary 1st '09, this is the 13th round of SPAs given out to eCanada's top writers.
Previous BAM winners have been:
--May: The Merchantman - Jacobi - "The Case for PEACE"
--April: "Election Review for the Top 6 Parties" by Derek Harland of The Alternate View
--Full list of all 10 other SPABA winners: http://ecanada.forumotion.com/writer-s-guild-of-canada-f60/journalism-hall-of-fame-great-ecanadian-writers-newspapers-articles-and-literary-awards-t2706.htm#43990
From the dozens up dozens of articles written in June, these Fab Fifteen have been selected run for a chance to be recognized as the Top Five articles written in Canada between May 31st and June 27th. The one with the highest number of points at the end of judging will be honoured as eCanada's Best Article of the Month.
But to get there we need judges and more judges. The more the better. However, you do need to be registered to receive a link to the BAM 06/09 judging form. Please volunteer by PMing me or putting your name in the comments section below.

WOO I'm number one ... on the list. heh heh
Judge here, and this time I don't have congress to keep me distracted from doing it >.
Hey, I'll judge if you need an extra body
I will judge as well.
wow, im actully a judge. shocking.
guess i'll have to start reading...
Hey cool, made it into the final 15! I'll wear my BAM nominee badge with pride
psst, rayin, gimme a couple bucks i'll give you top points...
i jest!
I can judge too, if anymore judges are desired
Do you really allow judges to participate when they also have a nominated article ?
Well, I know if -I- were judging, I wouldn't give -myself- the best score. My bland inquiries masquerading as investigatory pieces.
I'm too busy to judge right now anyways, I've got to find an issue big enough to write another BAM worthy Article.

Thank you for signing up, Kelly, and everyone else who volunteered, too. The judging form is ready and I am just waiting for the banner to be done so I can send both to all the writers on the list.
@Simon Fraser - Yes, everyone is welcome to judge. In fact, I will be PMing the form link to all the writers in the Fab 15 list.
Did Uruzak pull out? His article was in the top 15 list last I looked.
Maybe you should add to the rules that judges cannot vote for their own articles? If noone can vote for their own article then it will equal out as every author/judge has to give someone else their vote.
otherwise some might vote for their articles and some might not, which will imbalance it a bit.
If I can get the projected 20 voters, then one biased vote should not tip the scales. Scores are balanced across 5 ranks (5 points - 1 point) so usually one or two articles are voted on by almost every judge, giving them a considerable lead.
I'd like to have the type of rule Rayin mentions, but not voting for your own article when you are confident it is among the Top 5 would be odd. Politicians in eRep are allowed to vote for themselves, after all.
I found a moment to put in my two cents. Though really it was more like I found a moment to give out 15 points. Congrats to whomever come out to be on the top 5. I am thrilled just to be mentioned.
