After months of disappointment (Germany failed to liberate me from NL) I gave up and stop waiting for the day for Niederdeutschland. I decided to come back home again. I met some really cool NLers in NL like Tim Veltkamp (my eHubby now), Myers11,Trinc, Swenbecker, Tonie112, Daniel Parker, Hans R, coolissport (but too much gay sex) Auggy ( I think the really should be the king of eNL and one of the best CP in NL), Mitch Rapp, Bokkie, Jos Alembic, Derkk, etc. I missed a few but I think they know who they are.

I had fun here and I will share my opinions of NL at this time.

NL was fun for a while but at times it is just getting strange. The obsession for war without a plan is most worrying and debate on grammar and small aspects of the constitution is not the most fun thing to do month after month after month. The NL system has some good points like all citizens can debate in the congress debates but other parts of the NL system is an epic failure like that of the coalition government in which government is not form on merit but of backroom deals.

I think most people in NL support presidential system but like with all policies, it takes a long time and a lot of filibustering to even have a vote etc. Look at the embargo of Romania a few weeks ago... some members of congress must debate an embargo suggested by PHX on an EDEN state. What is to talk about? Romania is EDEN, we are in PHX, we do have relations with Romania etc, who cares about the reason etc just do it. If I ask you of the reason why we embargo eRomania, how many of you remember. In the end, who cares. In one ear out the other.

Another problem with NL is that it lacks a diverse population. It is too small and not much new ideas. I mean look at the gov post like MoRC. Month after month nothing happens either due to neglect or the lack of fresh ideas which makes government stagnate. The same people for the most part get the same job month after month after month that being in congress and minister position is only a title and nothing more. eNL then becomes an elitist nation that the elites are losing passion and conviction as the day goes on. Some at this point do not care about PHX, eNL, etc but just want war for the sake of action and nothing more.

There are noobs or new people in NL mainly in the LSD party. Many of them are not too active and if they are active, they either too inexperience or they just agree to the old elites. Therefore, you can say I&W is the party of "authoritarian" as they tend to not say things that most people would like, but they have the experience and in the real world more realistic and practical. LSD therefore is more of a populist party and that is about it. Transparency this and that, and a lot of street theater. Like the impeachment thing is stupid. Look at the timing, Garmr said he will not rerun for CP. He will have one more week of rule before he is replaced. Impeachment now is meaningless as he is a lame duck already. If the impeachment was a success, we give Tonie one week of CP, brief him of the events of PHX and the world and instate housekeeping just for a few days..... Nice theater but far from practical policy.

So the two parties fight each other and the other parties tend to like one side more than the other and do not challenge them. Therefore, this same conflict happens over and over again, which is kind of stale I guess. The failure of the other parties like GLD, IP, CPNL, TI, etc to assert more I think is one of the biggest problem with NL society. I am not asking for the other parties to be top, but in many ways, the other parties ride along with the big parties and not really do their own unique thing. At times they might venture into something new but overall they do nothing novel. CPNL is quiet, GLD is I&W part 2, TI is for the most part ignored by the other parties and it itself is too small to do anything, and IP.... IP is odd but in a good way. You can say they do not assert themselves or you can say they are, but their neutrality. However, it would be nice to see IP more polarizing and try to threaten... (maybe too strong of a word), to rock the boat a bit.

The lack of war, non-exciting politics, same old people all the time, and and the LSD v I&W and nothing more is making NL very uninteresting and everyone a bit on edge. That is why you tend to see a lot of NLers in different eNations etc.

Ironically, war is not the solution. You can have war now but war alone is part of the solution. Most importantly, you need a plan to advertise BB. Dev said he will post ads in many places. So war and actual action to do a BB in addition to a war will bring short term results and you will have to build from that.

For those who likes NL like this, then my opinion does not really effect you. For those who want to overcome this stagnation, I hope you find my opinion to have some merit and that this helps eNL to build and expand.
Thank you very much for the good times. eNL like before I came to NL is always a special place for me and I love it as much as eGermany and eUK. I will still be active in NL media etc and you are not rid of me (Sorry Shakerr) 😛
