Around the World #4; Taking Out the Trash

Day 1,671, 22:39 Published in Canada Canada by Shoi12

So, how has the week passed in the New World? Who has made progress? Who has been dealt the scent of defeat? Find out in this week's edition of Around the World!

MAJOR WARS

Iberian War
Before

After

Belligerents: Portugal vs. Spain
Results: ONE continued its rampage in Europe, as even dissenters like Spain gained land, stomping down Portuguese soldiers as if it was child's play. With Portugal down to merely the Azores, and with the US occupied in France, only Canada stands in the way of any attack on North American soil. But hey, who knows? Maybe Portugal will fight back. But they'll need to act fast before a total wipe.

Winner (this week): Spain
Winner (campaign): Spain

War for France
Before

After

Belligerents: France, USA vs. Poland, Slovenia
Results: Wait, France who? Oh, you mean the doormat? Ohh, under the doormat? Ah. Yes, France's effort solidified it as the laughingstock of Western Europe. Unable to put up even a single successful defense, they were put out of their misery in the wee hours of Saturday. And the Yankees didn't do much better to help their ally, losing their share of conflicts as well.

Winner (this week): Poland, Slovenia
Week (campaign): Poland, Slovenia

Macedonian War of Aggression
Before

After

Belligerents: Greece, Israel vs. FYROM
Results: Oh, so close. In FYROM's attempt to unite the ancient kingdom of Macedonia (I did my research, you know), they failed to account for gods outside their own. Thus, they were taken by surprise when the Israelis swooped in to save the day, attacking Crete as soon as it fell in the Macedonian hands, giving Greece a chance to fight back. And fight back they did, storming back to take back just about everything. This is one battle to watch.

Winner (this week): Greece, Israel
Winner (campaign): DRAW

Serbian Rebellion
Before

After

Belligerents: Croatia, Italy, Revolutionaries vs. Serbia
Results: I'm certainly not happy about, but give credit where credit's due, Serbia's held off a massive assault on many fronts. Croatia and Italy simply couldn't fill the big shoes China left when Serbia managed to push them off the continent. Ever since Serbia recollected their troops after the battle, it's been all Serbs, much to the chagrin of EDEN. Italy was once again pushed out of Naples after temporarily holding the two oil provinces, and Croatia is once again down to its last stand. The only upside for EDEN? Freeing Bosnia & Herzegovina, and who knows how long that will last?

Winner (this week): Serbia
Winner (campaign): Croatia, Italy, Revolutionaries

Until next time, take care!
