Don't you love unfinished articles? 😉

I probably should add a color key for the different countries, if y'all can convince me to :3

MAJOR WARS

CUA and CoT

Start

After

The War for South South America

Belligerents: Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay vs. Brazil, Chile, Paraguay
Results: Okay, these colors are absolute crap. God awful. *pukes* Anyway, where were we? Oh that's right. Argentina and Uruguay were absolutely slaughtered by Brazil and Chile. With Brazil closing in from the south and Chile from the west, Argentina was simply overwhelmed. Little Uruguay put up a scrappy fight, but was quickly wiped. BUT. CUA has arisen once again. Argentina has pushed Chilean troops back and Brazilian troops fully out, while Uruguay has broken the shackles. Paraguay has entered the fray, but hasn't made much of a lasting impact. Things have gotten more interesting, eh?

Winner (this week): Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay (minor)
Winner (campaign): Brazil, Chile, Paraguay

The Colombian Revolution

Belligerents: Colombia vs. Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela
Results: Colombia has been wiped countless times since Brazil switched sides from pro-EDEN to its current CoT stack. However, Colombia has STILL managed to keep on the fighting, as Colombia overthrew Mexican oppressors to recover a region during late action. Despite Colombia's disastrous attack on northern Brazil that led to its wipe a few days ago, as well as Venezuela's constant pressure in the east, the Colombian morale is high as they continue to fight against three potential belligerents. With their Argentinian comrades riding a wave of momentum, Colombia may also surf the tide and regain some more regions.

The Balkan Suppression
Start

After

The Greek Rebirth
Belligerents: Greece vs. Macedonia
Results: Okay, so to be fair, Macedonia isn't focused on their homeland in the Balkans. They're off derping around in Iran, converting Russians to the CoT flag. But from a Greek standpoint, this is definitely better for them. While the Iranians face the Macedonian army, the Greeks simply waltzed into Skopje with little resistance, and easily snatched the three Macedonian regions from their rival's hands. It works out for both nations: Greece wipes Macedonia from Europe and gains three regions, while Macedonia pulls a Croatia and moves its capital east, where it will have more bonuses if it can hold on to its colonies. At the end of the day, though, this battle goes to Greece.

Winner (campaign): Greece (devastating)

The Turkish Tango

Belligerents: Turkey vs. Bulgaria
Results: Alright, Turkey's main focus hasn't been on its home territories, but rather its Bulgarian colonies. In that aspect, Bulgaria has been doing decently well but not well enough. The Bulgarians were able to overthrow Turkish forces in Ruse, but Turkey struck back, reclaiming some of its Turkish regions and recapturing Istanbul. While Bulgaria continues to purge Turkey from its home regions, and holds a slight advantage still, Turkey remains a slight but persistent presence in southern Bulgaria. Once Bulgaria frees its last region, Turkey will be on the full defensive. But can they?

Winner (this week): Bulgaria (minor)
Winner (campaign): Bulgaria

Good ol' Romania vs. Hungary

Belligerents: Romania, Ukraine vs. Hungary, Moldova
Results: Wow, THIS is new 😑 Anyway, Romania has been absolutely slaughtered by their Hungarian archnemesis. Romania has but a few scrubs of provinces remaining, as Hungary tries to fully occupy two massive EDEN nations, asserting its title as superpower in the process. The Romanians have managed to stay alive, despite momentary wipes, but have yet to really make a full effort to push back Hungary. Meanwhile, the small region of Bucovina, maligned for being part of the deal between Romania and Hungary, has been liberated by Ukraine. It's been a constant struggle between Ukraine and Moldova for the region, with Ukraine currently controlling it. If Ukraine managed to wipe Moldova, they could help with the fight against Hungary. But first, avoid their own wipe is a good idea.

Asgard and Friends

The Polish Party
Start

After

Belligerents: Finland, Sweden vs. Poland, Estonia, Latvia
Results: What the hell, Poland? Why did you get such a nice red color? Grrrrrr... Anyway, bye bye Finland. Little fragments of both Finland and Sweden persist, as Latvia and Estonia try to make their small impacts while letting blobby Poland take care of the rest. Both the Finnish and Swedish, to their credit, have managed to regain regions, and obviously, Poland cannot declare war on both at the same time. Aland and Gotland stand mighty as island centers of resistance, but the Asgard nations will need a lot more in order to stand a chance against the superpower. Man, I wish I could poke fun at its pink color some more 🙁

Winner (this week): Poland, Estonia, Latvia
Winner (campaign): Poland, Estonia, Latvia

The Spanish Influence
Start

After

Belligerents: Canada, Portugal vs. Spain
Results: Canada got wiped. Portugal was wiped. But give Portugal props. They finally managed to free Lisboa, thanks to a lot of help from their allies, most especially the Canadians, their fellow belligerent in this war. Building onto their momentum, the Portuguese liberated the Azores as well. The added pandemonium of the Portuguese front bought Canadians enough time to recapture Quebec from Spanish hands. Unfortunately for Portugal, an ill-fated attack on Newfoundland and Labrador cost them their independence. But with Canada back on the map, Portugal fighting as hard as ever, and even France hinting at trying to join the party, Spain would do well to focus.

Winner (this week): Spain
Winner (campaign): Spain (devastating)

Other Wars

Operation Gangnam Style (Attempt #2)
Start

After

Belligerents: Republic of China (Taiwan) vs. USA, South Korea
Results: Honestly, Taiwan has done pretty well, at least with their main front. The South Koreans have been wiped once again by Taiwan, as yet another American invasion force failed to establish a foothold. However, with a declaration of war on Japan a scarce possibility at best, it's imperative that Taiwan win their Japan RWs, something that they've struggled with. Indeed, another Japanese province falls back to their homeowners. As the island of Taiwan borders mainland America (well, Hawaii), even if they liberate the island, Taiwan would be unable to declare war on Japan without making a peace deal. CoT simply has the edge.

Winner (this week): USA, South Korea (minor)
Winner (campaign): USA, South Korea (minor)

It’s Always Better With China
Start

Finish

Belligerents: China, Philippines vs. Indonesia
Results: Simply put, China makes things fun. The Philippines was absolutely ravaged by Indonesians, as their southern neighbor absolutely wrecked the small archipelago. However, with China's intervention, Indonesia had to quickly retreat. China won all of its battles and forced Indonesia to revolt their remaining regions away in order to avoid a full-on invasion by the mighty EDEN bastion. Indonesia reclaimed the two remaining Filipino regions a few days later, but the Philippines have since reclaimed one of these regions. With the Philippines's independence secured and Indonesia scared to death, it's another win tacked on for China.

Winner (campaign): China, Philippines

The Iranian Devastation
Start

Belligerents: Iran vs. Macedonia, Russia
Results: So Iran didn't make the most well-planned decision. It had heart, it had soul, but it lacked power. Iran preemptively attacked Macedonia to gain the initiative in the inevitable battle. However, the worst possible scenario occurred, as Iran lost the close battle. Even worse, Russia, who had many close calls when it came to NE'ing their little buddies to the south, finally had enough leverage to pass the motion through Congress, declaring war and starting a two-front war with the Iranians. Iran was quickly wiped as there was no escaping two prongs, but with a focus on Russia, Iran has slowly recaptured their old territories. It looked like a blowout, but now it's a whole new ballgame.

Winner (this week): Macedonia, Russia
Winner (campaign): Macedonia, Russia
