Announcing My Candidacy For Congress

Last month I ran for Congress from Illinois. I wrote articles, sent PMs, and left comments on other people’s articles mentioning my candidacy. I thought that I ran a pretty good campaign. In the end I finished second, just three votes behind Boba The Fett. Looking back, I’m glad I didn’t win. I wasn’t ready to be in Congress, and since that time I have become more active, and more aware than I ever was before. I have become an active participant in the irc chats, I read more article about the issues than I used to, and I have written articles warning America about the lack of planning in the war with France as well as calling on the Administrators to implement changes that help workers. I can honestly say I’m a more qualified eCitizen now than I was before. That’s why I’m running again. I’m running again because I think that now I’m able to make a difference in our country and our state. Below you’ll find a brief overview of what I offer and plan on accomplishing if you elect me to Congress.

TRANSPARENCY: I pledged this last election and I’ll pledge it again now. If you elect me I will write an article every week telling you how I voted on each issue and why I voted that way. Boba The Fett hasn’t written one article about what he has done in Congress and I think that that is unfair to every citizen of our state.

DEFENSE FOR ILLINOIS: Despite the fact that Illinois has a Q4 hospital and would be a tempting target for enemies of the United State we have no defense system. If elected I will work with President Dover and my fellow Congressmen and Congresswomen to get a defense system for Illinois.

ECONOMY: I think the economy has stabilized a lot since I last ran for Congress, but work can still be done. The USD is dropping like a rock and something needs to be done to make sure our currency is actually worth something. I also want to work to bring the prices of basic needs like food down so that citizens can save more money and have more prosperous eLives.

WAR WITH FRANCE: I, like many of us, thought that the reasons for going to war with France were questionable at best and an outright lie at worst. However, the war was declared by our Congress and I have supported our troops in it. I have tried my best to offer gifts to soldiers who need wellness and I have fought several times myself. I have also warned against the lack of planning for regions of France that we take over: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/the-war-after-the-war-706148/1. As France strikes back at the regions America has captured, and in some cases actually drives America out of those regions, I only wish that our leaders had thought about some of the issues I bring up before they declared war. I will, however, continue to support our troops regardless of what they are ordered to do.

These are my attitudes on the issues and some of my plans if I get elected. If elected I will work together with all members of Congress, regardless of political party, to do what’s best for America and what’s best for Illinois. I will always listen to the opinions of the people I represent and respond to any messages they have for me. I will vote one every issue that comes before the Congress since I am very active on eRepublik. Most importantly, I will work with all my ability to be an honest and dedicated representative of Illinois who gets things done for our state.
