The other day, four bedrock political parties changed their names (and even logos) all at the same time and many were caught off guard.

Philippines for the Filipinos became Tropang Ladlad (literally, Coming Out Troop or Friends Coming Out)

Filipino Progressive Movement (Kilusan ng Progresibong Pilipino) became Filipino Gay Movement.

Kilusan ng Makabayang Pinoy (literally, Nationalist Filipino Movement) became Kafatirang Mujer ng Pilipinas (stylized to mean Brotherhood of Women of the Philippines)

Communist Party - Philippines became Partidong Bakla ng Pilipinas (literally, Gay Party of the Philippines)

Official explanation: The party presidents secretly agreed beforehand to change the party names and logos at the same time without asking permission from the members. We wanted to add a little fun and chaos to the Philippines. This place will get boring too quickly if everybody is too serious. XD

(Yes. The XD is part of the official explanation.)

As expected, we got a good response from the general public as seen in most article comments. I hope nobody was offended and left their parties because of the that. If so, please return to your parties. The party is now over, so we've changed the names and logos back to the original.

But watch out what we or our successors have in store for you next month. Yes, this will happen again (I hope).

In behalf of the current party presidents, I beseech all future party leaders to keep to the tradition that we have starte😛 Party Day every 27th of the month.
