I know I have already announced this 2 months ago, but I would like to remind everyone that I will be running for Country President of Belgium for September 2011!
Not only do I have more than enough experience, but I am probably one of the most active players in Belgium. If I am President, I will not sleep a day, making sure that Belgium is always safe.
I want to make Belgium a strong community. I truly believe that Belgium is for Belgians. Independence is important, and our neutrality has served us for a long time. What else could have possibly led to us surviving for such a long time when surrounded by powerful neighbors?
Another thing I would like to point out that unlike my opponent, I am strongly against the idea of merging with the Netherlands. Why? Look at what happened in the past. We lost so many good players, and on top of that, there was a clear disunity within the "United" Netherlands. Here, let me put it this way. Would you like to share your body with your brother? I didn't think so. No matter how you put them together, it just doesn't work out.

Know your history: UNL was broken up by a Romanian. Remember how Highst and his cronies from Romanian 'The Group' made everybody like them? PTO broke UNL, not dissent.
UNL was great. UNL was strong. UNL lasted long. Merger is good. Dumb pictures are bad.
LOL Ward, back then the union was prone to PTO, RW etc. Based on your story it failed due to external rivals in a very easy way, what do you think with the rules that make RW easier and cheaper etc, why do you think the union will work.
Also do not tell me that there was no dissent. We all know that there were many that hated the union and the Belgians are all in BP focused on their own thing while many Dutch like Deviljte, Frerk, Trinc, Mitch Rapp and many other hated what the Belgians did to their country. If you are saying anything different, you do not know the story. I was there too and I know their true feelings...

Ward, I don't think you realize that that is not a picture of two boys loving each other, it's a picture of conjoined twins.
Ward, did you even read the article. If you read, you would know what the conjoined twins would mean. It shows that the merge would be a problem and it will not work.
Maybe you should read the article before making stupid claims that it is a same sex couple etc...
I read the article. I think opposing yourself to a merger by implying NL is our twin and not a good friend for instance is not a valid point to make. You should also learn to listen to my point and stop ranting back mindlessly. Our two countries could be making love instead of (indeed pointlessly) trying to 'conjoin'. Can you grasp my point too for a change? If so, then please stop focusing on me and move on. I still find the pictures ugly btw.
