Day 1,253, 06:32 Published in Brazil Cyprus by ivansplit

EDIT*** nunogomez replied as well, now you can see his answers too!

Greetings guys,

I made an interview with most of the ''famous'' players. Below, you can read about their Real Life, eRepublik begginings and why are they legends.
Most of you know this every player...if you don't, you can find out more about them on their wiki pages, or enter any channel on irc, someone should tell you.

For example: http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Emerick

Players I interviewed are: Bogdan_L, Megalexandros, smrtan, Josh Frost, -Chuck Norris-, lgabor72, Emerick, Geokos, Jazar, dSoKre, Argrob, Mr Woldy, nunogomez

Players from which I recieved no response: exohoritis, BattalGazi, Bogdan Adamutz, Durruti

Players that rejected my proposal: Colin Lantrip, FanaticZD, Atea(she told me she never speaks about her RL)

Players that agreed but didn't send me answers(I will edit article or write new one): fib, desert hamster, Romper

Questions were:

1. Name(surname not needed)/ age / location / job
2. How did you find out about eRepublik?
3. What do you think about the game?
4. Would you like to change something? If yes, what would it be?
5. What is your goal in the game?
6. What do you think about admin?
7. How much time per day are you online?
8. Do you buy gold? If yes how much money did you spend so far(not needed)?
9. What is your favourite thing on eRepublik?
10. How do you manage to play with RL obligations?

Bogdan_L
1. Bogdan/41/Canada/software programmer
2. In Feb 2009,after an advertising campaign in Cotidianul, national newspaper.
3. The game is very much unbalanced, the new rules(limit of 10gold and 1 RW) broke the balance even more. But beyond the actual status where the winners are winning too easily and the others don't stand a chance, all the changes lost 1 single thing that the erepublik admins kept for such a long time: continuity. The game doesn't have history and future anymore, it has just present: today.
4. What I would like to see is exactly what the admin decided to lose: a balanced world where the new changes won't come from thin air screwing up days/weeks/years of other old rules brought here to stay.
5. none
6. Is just focused on getting more gold today. Doesn't have any idea for tomorrow, doesn't have any regret for yesterday. Justhe is hoping each day is "today" and every player will think so.
7. I used to spend much time, but lately less and less.
9. The communities life, how they live, grow and sometimes die, the way how they interact, and of course making friends world wide.
this is all he sent*

Megalexandros
1. Bill, I work in the health sector, in the marketing field.
2. Through a Greek blog. It was referring – typically- to the Greek-Turkish dispute ingame.
3. Compared to what it was like when I started, the creators have become more flexible –especially after the v2 “blunder”, in my opinion- and seem to get better feedback from the players.
4. There are many things I would like to see different. I would like to see more choices in the parties political orientations, as well as the countries’ political systems. It would be interesting if there was a choice of a “revolution” let’s say…lol.
I think the Military Units module is right now under improvement that will make it more interesting too. So let us see what happens with these changes…
5. To enjoy it and have a good mood when online.
6. As I said above, the admins still make mistakes – you don’t make mistakes only if you do nothing: D. The difference I have noticed is that they seem to receive information more organized. And they try to respond to it through actions.
7. An hour to a couple some days.
8. Lol. I will let you guess, do you suppose I made this level w/out buying? I have spent some money indeed. But I always spend from my leisure money, not anyway else. I suggest everyone does so…
9. Obviously I enjoy the military module. I also love reading articles and spending some time on the IRC.
10. Everything needs a balance. RL ALWAYS comes first, but sometimes I do tend to get carried away….

smrtan
1. Piotr, 34 y.o., one of cities from Silesia urban agglomeration, owner of online company.
2. One of my friends (eersen) asked me to register from his reflink and "play at least until level 6" 😛
3. eRepublik was a Great Game. In the past 🙁
4. hm... too many things to describe in short interview...
5. I'm afraid all my goals are achieved.
6. Do you really want your article to be deleted by moderators? 🙂 Don't ask that 😃

9. society
10. I really don't know 🙂 Probably it's because I work whole day online. It's comfortable for playing game like eRepublik. IRC hidden in the background, game in 2nd browser and I can "idle" whole day. And react when neccesery.

Josh Frost
1. Josh/USA/Teacher
2. I found the game through another game site.
3. I think eRepublik is a fun game...mainly for the social aspect of it. Sometimes the game play is frustrating.
4. I think I would change to Raw Material to production ratios.
5. I achieved everything I want. Nothing left to do.
6. I think they have always been helpful and good to me, so I cannot complain.
7. Recently a lot. Sometimes in the past not more than an hour a day.
8. I have bought gold. I have lost track of how much I have spent to be honest. I am cutting down on buying though.
9. I like to fight and run my companies at this point. Politics doesn't appeal to me in any way....for now.
10. I never had a problem with it. If you do, then you're spending too much time on the game.

-Chuck Norris-
1. Diego Carriel Santis, 25 years old, I'm from Santiago (Chile), and i'm a student of translation and interpretation spanish-english.
2. I found out about erep in the forums of another browser game I used to play, called hattrick, there some players where handing invites (the game was invitation only), and since my country in rl was not created at that time, i created my citizen in Argentina.
3. It was pretty decent, now its too based on rl money, there's no way I can achieve what I achieved in the past 2 years without paying rl money, and i hate it.
4. The entire economic module, the current overproduction and the 10g rule killed it, there's no way of saving some money for investments or for war without buying it for rl money. And the military module needs to be fixed. Limit WP and bring back the old wall of V1.
5. To remain in the top hitters, and expand my economic holding.
6. They're blinded by their lust for money.
7. a couple of hours.
8. I only bought gold once, 1 gold via sms for the extra storage promotion 🙂
9. Economy and Warfare, wich also contains the coordinations on IRC.
10. rl obligations first, erep is just a hobby, a very adictive one, but a hobby nonetheless.

Emerick
1. My name is MC, number one baller, ladies always come when I whip it out and call her
2. Dio made a thread in /v/ in late 2007 and I requested an invite
3. It's alright. The major appeal is its alleged open-ended nature. like how we can craft our own stories easily.
4. Bring back v2. I miss eRep being an actual game.
5. World domination.
6. Loserfaggots
7. Too much
8. Never bought gold in my life, but I have had moments of darkness where I thought about it.

lgabor72
1. Gábor/38/Hungary/project manager
2. I read it on Hungarian portal (Index)
3. It's very interesting and sometimes frustrating game. Sometimes boring, sometimes you get a heart attack🙂
4. Limit wellness pack (for example 10/minibattle, or 100/day are enough), New campaigns repeatedly, Add weekly missions (f.e. kill 50 enemy, you get 2 gold, fight 10 different battle -> free healing kit, work in a row 7 day -> 200 work skill point, train in a row 7 day -> 0,5 strength point)

5. At the moment I work on moderate and I am join the game which not specific goal.
