America: How to Vote
As I sit here, fellow eAmericans, I wonder what has become of our great nation. We have lost so much over the last 40 Days. So many questions and unpleasant answers have come and gone, who's got the will to count them?
I've come to the conclusion that it's been the Idealism our ecitizens bring with them to the game, that has influenced our actions and hence brought us to the Eve of our Destruction.
What has our political divisiveness won us?
What can we gain by continuing on this path? The path we are oh so to happy to walk down every month?
My party (USWP) will not be campaigning as hard as we used to. A sign of the times you could say. Many will question and attack the USWP on the latest issues. I ask you this,
Do you believe in the Sins of the Father?
Why should so many, and indeed ANY good candidates be painted with the same brush? Do not look at the party, look at the candidate. It's the candidate that represents you. Their past record and sound platform will always outweigh the partisan attacks on who they run under.
However,
Vote for the candidate that represents you best, based not on their Idealism and rhetoric, but on Realism and their 'Battle-plan'.
A candidate who is the best and most extreme 'Idealist' is everyone's favorite, Ajay Bruno.
But enough about him.
A realist? I'd say Emerick. (Yes, a pres, but a politician is a politician right?) He gets things done, he keeps in touch with the nation, and he keeps the rhetoric down to doses we can all bare and even appreciate. Love him or hate him, he's tried to keep our nation alive. The debate moves daily, and if our nation becomes a fully PEACE controlled nation, we can come roaring back later. But to do this, we need to keep experienced and talented people in power. Playing the blame game in these hellish times, like we love to do, will accomplish very little, yet enpower our foes.
A few things you can do for the Congressional race is to look at a candidate's history (Medals, Bio ect), if they've been in office before, If they keep a good newspaper up, and READ THEIR PLATFORM. A good sense of what they've learnt and how they view the game is a great way to get a feel on their style.
But, most of all, know the game YOURSELF. Politics is obviously full of spin, knowing what's realistic and what's pie in the sky is what will ensure your vote can cut through the political B.S and elect the candidates this nation needs.
Rhetoric is nice, but let's not get carried away here shall we? We don't need to make the same mistakes again do we?

A nice little article that fairly sums up how one could discribe the state of affairs in the last few months:

Excellent tips Lorenzo.
The problem with "realism" is that people disagree about reality. Not to mention that realities change...
Good one Lorenzo
Well comandantedavid, realism in the sense of this game would be that grounded in the game mechanics. Understanding the mechanics and its limitations is far superior than voting according to unattainable rhetoric.
Unfortunately for us, the rhetoric espoused over our history has made us somewhat out of sync with our beliefs, I.E our dislike of PTOs, yet our near-full support of starting wars for war's sake.
I believe this has changed our reality more than being rational pragmitists.
