Ambassador Reports - Presenting Peru [EN/ES]

The Directorate of Embassies sent several ambassadors to nations all across the world in order to represent Norway. Our ambassadors are staying in contact with the local governments and are - from time to time - asking them a few questions. Today, the Directorate is presenting Peru.

Society
The Peruvian society is about 10 times bigger than the Norwegian society. In contrast to Norway which uses English as its primary communication and media language, the media and communication language of Peru is Spanish which is the native language of Peru.

Geography
Peru is currently expelled from its core regions and resides in the western parts of Venezuela, featuring Grain, Oil and Sand which gives Peru a 20% production boost in every part of the economy. Norway, however, has a 40%/20%/20% production bonus. The core regions of Peru tend to be permanently occupied by Chile.

Fiscal System
The tax income of Peru decreased in the last week and currently is on a level which is comparable to the Norwegian tax income. All Peruvian taxes are set to 1% which probably is an attempt to generate a lower income for Chile.

The Norwegian ambassador to Peru, John Guerreiro, contacted the Peruvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Celldur, and asked some questions to obtain a deeper insight into the Peruvian Society.

The changes (in eRepublik) which hapened in recent months in Latin America are very interesting. From two antagonistic and irreconcilable blocks, which lead to the wipe of Brazil and a hard disagreement between Argentina and Chile, nowadays Brazil and Argentina are part of ASTERIA (and allies of LETO, Perú, Colombia and so on)
At the same time, Chile (as part of AURORA, with Venezuela and Paraguay) agreed with Argentina on a non-aggression pact. But Peru has lost territory to Chile. Do you think that Chile will allow the continental equilibrium?
Chile has an obsession with Peru that is truly incomprehensible and unjustified (we have rich food but that is not a big deal) so the only thing that prevents the unification of South America is the irrational aggression of Chile against Peru. If that changes, you would see not two balanced blocks but one single unified block.

What role do you think that will alliances play in the future, and specifically in Latin America?
Latin America does not exist. It really is just South America and Mexico/Cuba. Inside that universe of countries it's Argentina on one side and Chile on other, both with their own allies. Certainly Argentina has the vast majority of South American firepower and therefore is Europe's largest nocturnal damage dealer.

You can repeat the history of Chile in one Alliance and Argentina in another one or create a single alliance of South America. That's what alliances could bring in the future.

Regarding Peru, could you explain the peruvian politics to us? Do you fight for a common goal or does each party fights for its own future?
The Peruvian politics has three major parties and all are fighting for the same. We're pretty unified beyond the quarrels that of some old and some new players who want to "play" politics; beyond that our congress has the same problems that all countries have but we progress as we can.

In economic issues you have made a proposal to exchange currency for gold that has been rejected. What was the reason for the proposal and why do you think it has not been approved?
Well this latest proposal has been approved and it is intended to buy war supplies (CO and q7).

The old law that was rejected was to seize the gold price crisis on the money market but many novice congress members were persuaded by someone who only goes against and voted against, costing the country a secure income.

What part of the game do you give more importance to in Peru and why?
In Peru more importance is given to the 'two-click mode' and consequently the military part of the game. Most people are two-clickers and so we have a strong D1. In eGov you can see the damage we do day by day and compared to tanking we do have quality that is far superior to what most would think it was.

Before we gave more importance to the political module but since the treacherous invasion by Chile the country (i.e. Peru [transl.]) turned to the military.

Finally, could you briefly introduce yourself to the Norwegian society?
Of course:
I am Celldur and my real name is Pablo. I've been MoFA and the CP of ePeru at several occasions. I have also been to the HQ of ASTERIA and generally I try to solve problems diplomatically.

Sociedad
La sociedad peruana es aproximadamente 10 veces mayor que la noruega. A diferencia de Noruega que utiliza el inglés como lengua de comunicación, en Perú la lengua de comunicación es el español.

Geografía
Perú está actualmente fuera de su territorio oficial y se encuentra en la parte occidental de Venezuela.

Sistema fiscal
Los impuestos en Perú han descendido en la última semana y actualmente están al nivel de los impuestos en Noruega. Todos los impuestos en Perú están fijados en el 1% que es probablemente un intento de proporcionar menos ingresos a Chile.

El embajador noruego, John Guerreiro, se ha puesto en contacto com el Ministro Peruano de Asuntos Exteriores, Celldur, y le há hecho algunas preguntas para conocer mejor la sociedad peruana.

Los cambios (en eRepublik) habidos en América Latina están siendo muy interesantes en los últimos meses. Se ha pasado de 2 bloques antagónicos e irreconciliables, que supusieron la desaparición de Brasil y un duro enfrentamiento Argetina-Chile a una reconciliación en la que Brasil y Argentina son ahora parte de ASTERIA (y aliados de LETO -Perú y Colombia, entre otros) Al mismo tiempo, Chile (como parte de AURORA, junto a Venezuela y Paraguay) há pactado com Argentina para no agredirse.
Pero Perú há perdido territorios a costa de Chile.
¿Confiáis en que Chile permita el reequilibrio continental?
Chile tiene una obsesión con Perú que es verdaderamente incomprensible e injustificada (tenemos comida rica pero no es para tanto) así que lo único que evita la unificación de sudamérica es la irracional agresión de Chile hacia Perú. Si eso cambiara, podrían ver no dos bloques equilibrados sino un sólo bloque unificado.

¿Qué papel crees que jugarán las alianzas en el futuro, y más concretamente, en América Latina?
América Latina no existe. En realidad es sólo Sudamérica y México/Cuba. Dentro de ese universo de países está Argentina por un lado y Chile por el otro, cada uno con sus respectivos aliados. Ciertamente Argentina tiene la gran mayoría del poder de fuego sudamericano y por eso el mayor daño nocturno europeo.

Se puede repetir la historia de Chile en una alianza y Argentina en otra o en su defecto sudamérica se podría unir. Eso es lo que depararán las alianzas en el futuro.

En cuanto a Perú, ¿podrías explicar cómo es la política peruana? ¿Lucháis por un objetivo común o cada partido busca su propio futuro?.
La política peruana tiene tres grandes partidos y todos luchan por lo mismo. Estamos bastante unificados más allá de las rencillas que tienen algunos jugadores antiguos y algunos nuevos que quieren "jugar" a la política; más allá de eso nuestro congreso tiene los mismos problemas que todos los países pero se avanza como se puede.

En cuestiones económicas, tú mismo has hecho una propuesta para cambiar moneda por oro que ha sido rechazada. ¿Cuál era el motivo de la propuesta y por qué crees que no há sido aprobada?
Bueno esta última propuesta ha sido aprobada y está destinada para comprar suministros para guerra (CO y q7).

La antigua ley que fue rechazada era para aprovechar la crisis del precio de oro en el mercado monetario pero muchos congresistas novatos se dejaron convencer por alguien que sólo lleva la contraria y votaron en contra, costándole al país un ingreso seguro.

¿A qué módulo le dais más importancia en Perú? ¿Por qué?
En Perú se le da más importancia al módulo del Holdeo y por ende al militar, la mayoría son holderos y por eso tenemos una D1 de primer orden. En eGov se puede ver el daño que hacemos día a día y comparado con el tankeo que hacemos la calidad que tenemos es muy superior a lo que la mayoría pensaría.

Antes se le daba más importancia al módulo político pero desde la invasión traicionera de Chile se volcó el país a lo militar.

Por último, ¿Podrías presentarte brevemente a la sociedad noruega?
Por supuesto:
