All I Ever Wanted; Applications to Government!

Day 715, 11:16 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Mr Woldy

Good Evening!

As the presidential elections draw near, it was pointed out some time ago by a man named Final Destiny that arranging applications to cabinet prior to the elections would be wise in order to reduce the transition phase between terms.

For this reason, both AV and myself have decided to take in applicants before the election so come the 6th we have a Cabinet decided on, and work can begin much sooner.

Again, take a few minutes to read the updated manifesto’s, here and here.

As my manifesto’s outline new jobs and changes there are many positions available for you to apply in. Applications are preferred via a forum PM, but an ingame one will also suffice. IRC and Forum activity is requested.

Although you can apply to any position outlined in this article, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the old Minister has been ousted. Should they be reapplying they have a fair chance of re-entering the cabinet, based on the previous months performance.

Cabinet

MoHA – (Home Affairs) My Favourite. You’ll be organising a very large team of Under Ministers and Apprentices, and are tasked with keeping the population entertained, informed, and healthy. Organising PM campaigns and entertainment schemes will be your main focus, but updating the wiki and releasing regular articles in the media, such as the NNA.

MoFA – (Foreign Affairs) Managing our relations with foreign countries, dealing with ambassadors, and now envoys too, you’ll be getting in touch with people from across the globe with matters regarding the eUK. You will also have an Under Minister or two, and have to sort out all the people applying for Ambassador positions.

MoD – (Defense) Directing the Military, organising strikes and distribution can be a trying task. With more military involvement on the way, an active and experienced player will be needed to regularly release Training War articles and organise our armed branches abroad.

MoF – (Finance) Dealing with the countries money and economy can be tricky. A knowledgeable capable person is needed to help propose taxes, set benchmarks and manage the Monetary markets. You’ll organise some Under Ministers primarily to show them the ropes.

MoT – (Trade) Watching the markets, liaising with Business owners and foreign countries about problems the economy faces and how to deal with them, and monitoring foreign markets all come into play as MoT. You’ll also be lending a hand to the MoF in order to help assess our taxes. Your Under Ministers will be on hand to take notes and statistics for analysis.

MoLA – (Legislative Affairs) The MoLA manages parliament and the legislative process. This involves moving bills from place to place and running the voting for MP’s.

MoW – (Work) The Minister of Work shall run our network of companies, in order to provide skill 0 jobs for all our new players. You’ll need to be able to manage companies well, and will have Under Ministers and apprentices to ensure that the companies are kept running at all times. Your job also includes publishing the odd article (when needed) and messaging new employees.

Gifting Team

A Gifting Director will be needed to distribute gifts to the ill. You will lead a gifting team and will need to publish articles regularly, especially at war time advertising the fact you are available for newer players to get help. You will need to purchase and distribute gifts and follow the gifting schemes legislation.

Recruitment Office

The Recruitment office will run under the MoD, and you will make articles designed to rile up non enlisted citizens. This can be done however you like, you’ll have freedom over what you write. There will be basic guidelines of what your article should include and you can use your own paper to do it. From the plain simple “benefits of enlisting” article, to the riveting battle reports, this job is ideal for any budding journalists that are stick on what to write about.
We’re looking for around 5-6 people who can release regular articles.

War Cabinet

The war cabinet will be for high ranking army officials who will get De Facto access. However we are looking for military swots and strategists who can join us, you may help the recruitment office, give a hand distributing, and be called upon for your professional opinion on military engagements.
If you’ve ever been MoD, CO, or CP, feel free to apply, drawing upon a fountain of experience will be a sure way to get the best out of the military and create some fun.

And that’s all for now! Remember to vote tomorrow, it’s your voice, use it! and if that’s not a good enough reason, you get experience for voting.

And for nostalgia purposes – a guide.
