Airborne Contest: First Round

This past week’s contest saw a HUGE jump in activity in Airborne, as nearly every soldier stepped up and fought hard to bathe their platoon in glory. Sweet, bloody glory. Four platoons competed, but only the top two will progress to the championship. For a review of the contest rules, see here. Let’s get to it.

Second Place 82/2 Pitmasters

With brilliant activity levels and the greatest fighting in Airborne, the Pitmasters grilled the competition - and quite pungently too, on hickory wood chips. At 796 kills per soldiers, and a whopping 8760 opponents defeated by platoon as a whole, 82/2 have established themselves as the heaviest gunners around.

First Place 101/1 Fighting Cocks

From start to end, these cocks killed it. Far and away the busiest platoon in the past week, 101/1 won every single activity check, which represented the vast majority of the contest. Though they fought the least, their constant and loud presence on IRC and the forum, and the only perfect roll call led to an easy and clear-cut win in this first of two heats.
