Admins: We Demand Fair Play!
Admins, I have read your recent statement about the battle for Western Australia. I'm a supporter of Phoenix, but my true loyalty is to fair play. If Australia rightfully won the battle, then Western Australia belongs to them. Instead of telling EDEN that their hard work deserves no reward, why not come to a compromise?
Why not give Western Australia back to Australia, but reimburse the major Phoenix nations for the gold they spent thinking the battle was in overtime, as well as for the hospital and defense system that Indonesia has placed in the region?
You, as admins, need fair play as much as we, the players, do. Remember this.
Even if you're a supporter of Phoenix, SIGN THIS petition anyway. In this case, fate worked against EDEN. But this same bug has affected us before and threatens to affect us again. We cannot let this stand. We must do what is right and demand fair play for everyone, regardless of political affiliation.

EDEN and PHOENIX can come together to agree to unbiased battles, I am all for it. Give WA back to Australia, and give Indo et all all of their Gold back, and refund all the work for the Indo Hospital and DS.

This sounds fair. Personally, I think that both sides should lose our tanking money (we both tanked a lot) but the Australia/Indonesia war should be reopened and WA returned so that Indonesia can make another shot at it and have a chance of winning the battle properly... and the game should be fixed as well, but that's a very high demand to make of admins. :p

I dnt want to talk much about the battle. but what i want to say now is that can eIndonesia charge more reasonable tax for diamond and grain. 50% seems too harsh to me.

There were countless cases like this in the past, hurting both PHX and EDEN. They didn't do anything back then, and probably won't do anything now.
I bet you 5 gold they won't do anything about such cases, and wait for V2 (which will be turn-based combat, so there won't be these bugs)

The first major decision seem to favoring Phoenix, and You start to cry. Let me ask a thing? Who attacked Indo? Blame yourselves and not go into a competition of listing the battles which had unfair outcome. Eden has no teven a chance to win this contest. Admins were on your side and they still are...

There's one thing I don't understand: the rule of engagement in this game says that the fight stops when the clock hits ZERO. However, according with admins statement they have broken their own rules allowing the battle to go in over time due to their unprofessional attitude and poor equipment. Kinda "we know it's our mistake, tough s**t. Some people might rejoice now while other are upset. However, there's a flip side to this coin and who's laughing today may be crying tomorrow for the same reason. It is no longer a matter of who's won and who's lot but a matter of playing by the rules, respecting the people who invest loads of money in this game. Arguments between aussies and Indos are pointless. Admins are to blame for creating such a situation.
This is an excellent point and its good to see people from Phoenix realizing a buggy game affects both sides. What will happen in the future when there is a critical battle (like Hello Kitty for instance) where Phoenix clearly wins, but there is a buggy overtime and EDEN takes it. This is an issue which affects both sides. As players we need to come together...the REAL enemy are the Admins.

Definitely support this. It’s not a question of “who cheated,” it’s a question of fixing a clear and obvious game bug. This goes beyond one side profiting over the other, and impacts the reliability of the system itself. If it go overtime repeatedly now, will it start doing that for every battle fought in the future? Will it start closing battles before they should finish? Will it continue to give these stupid messages along the lines of “Sorlandet was secured by Australia in the war versus Indonesia” and the like? Will it in future give the wrong region to random countries, instead of just showing the wrong message?
Who knows? No-one. That’s why this needs to be fixed, and fixed now, so the game can go on with some measure of predictability.
Remember, a game where everything can be predicted is little fun, but a game where nothing can be is worse, especially if version two needs to rest on the way the world is formed now.

The admins dont care because they got paid a lot of RL money for Gold for tanking/healing and dont wish to anger potential future customers again.
The leadership of Phoenix doesnt care because despite it being an honorless win via a bug, they wont give WA back and attempt to take it the right way because in the Phoenix book, a win even if unhonest and unfair is still a victory for Phoenix.

Read the statement made by the admins. They state definitively that the battle continued not because of server lag, but because of a bug.
"The automatic system of closing the battle has begun to run later then the time it should have."
The extra damage that Indonesia did in the battle came AFTER the battle should have closed, but wasn't closed, due to a bug.
Totally agree with you here. Cool common sense here everyone. This makes him better than 99.0% of any person I've met from Phoenix.

I appreciate the sentiment, but this is like a blown call in baseball. The umpire got it wrong, everyone knows it, but it won't be overturned.
I'd settle for a reliable assurance this wouldn't happen again (to anyone-- whether Phoenix or EDEN), but I'm afraid that's too much to ask.

There was no second war. An Indonesian multi/PTOer with Australian citizenship started the second war just so you could claim there was one.
eAustralia is under attack from eIndonesian/Channer PTOers and has been since the fall of eSouth Africa.

Agreed completely; although sadly due to the real-time aspect of the game while gold (from wellness packs etc) could be refunded the opportunity to instead allocate those fights elsewhere (not sure anywhere else was worth it *this time* but still) cannot. They can't get it 100% perfect but at least they should try to fix what they can (and honestly should have been able to decide to do this much closer to the time things went wrong imo). Even resorting to "do-overs" would be preferable to major events being settled by bugs as they so often are. >

I wholeheartedly agree with that comment, it should totally be about the admins fixing their game. It has happened to many times already.
If you reimburse Phoenix, you better reimburse EDEN too...
All those who adopt a into X Y can't and take amusement at the other sides unjust losses miss the point that in a game there needs to be some sense of fairness for victory to mean anything.
Lets take it to it's ultimate conclusion. If the POTUS had a 'button' that stripped other countrys regions from them with a single push and then proceeded to take over every other region, it would rightfully be viewed as a empty victory, hollow of any meaning. It would strip any sense of satisfaction out of a victory.
Glitches like this one either side, cheat both. They cheat the loser of a region and the winner of any sense of a valued accomplishment. There will be those who are content to win by cheating, but most game players I'd imagine would find a victory a touch hollow.
The Admin's cheat both sides when this occurs, the victors are left with a hollow accomplishment and the losers with a sense of injustice.
Rather than mess about with childish and frankly out of context 'Treasure Maps' why not fix the basic system.
It was fair, stupid. No one was informed about the referee's decision to continue the battle though, but that could have worked for both sides. To be honest, when we saw that wall falling into the underground, I'm surprised anyone thought it was going to be a good idea to just ignore it.
Although it's pretty much too late for WA, the admins need to be taking serious steps to insure this does not happen again.

when the Admins threw their own honor in the dust bin they tried to do the same to ours-- both Phoenix and EDEN players. but they have failed in that.
