ATLANTIS has been in direct war with PEACE for something like a week. Until yesterday, it was a fair fight. France had their allies MPP😒
activated and fought valiantly for their friends. ATLANTIS did have the edge, but were by no means running over the PEACE forces.
But, yesterday something changed. PEACE decided to counter-attack a Canadian region and lo’ and behold – BUGS! Apparently, they get to use their MPP😒
, mutual protection pacts as an offensive weapon! That’s complete and utter BS, and it’s a damn outrage it hasn’t been fixed yet. It’s no wonder we’re losing battles when they can have 5 nations on the offensive in the same war, versus one. It’s an obvious flaw in the warring system that should’ve been fixed 24 hours ago!
Now, the regions France, i.e. PEACE, is attacking are regions that were originally part of France. That doesn’t mean that France attacking that region is a defensive war. The regions in question are Canadian, and in the new battle American, soil. There’s no going around it; you have a flaw which turns a definite defensive tool into an offensive weapon.
Fix it and fix it quickly. This is not acceptable and should’ve been fixed a long time ago. In all that’s fair, the region should be returned to Canada; the one and only rightful owner. They won it in a fair battle. PEACE didn’t.
I and everyone else expect to see you, admins, to make a move here, right now.

If the region was not originally from Canada, the MPP thingy doesn't trigger 😛
I understand that MPPs are not triggered when its only on the original nations land, but why do they still get to use their MPPs?
Caparzo: you missed the point of the article. I'm not saying they should trigger for Canada, I'm saying they shouldn't trigger for France. They're attacking, not defending thus, they should not get MPP help.

The system is working as intended. MPPs activate AND REMAIN ACTIVE FOR THE REST OF THE WAR when an original region of that country is attacked.
Then the system prevents any form of war against someone with an MPP - equally idiotic.
Not at all. It just prevents any form of war against a country that has MPPs with countries zillion kilometers away from it. It's only logical that MPP countries that are not next to the invader can participate with all their strength from their home sofa, while the MPP countries next to the invader actually have to fight normally.

So if you can't take a region and create a peace treaty - like it is now, then the stronger side must continue to attack every day to keep the opponets busy.
Full attack again on Atlantis is that the solution? Wipe countries out? I would prefer not to.
I thought, that in case of a counter-attack, our MPPs would take effect. That way, it would at least be fair.
I think this is FAIR, WHY? Because when France attacked they lose their treasury, how can they counter attacking, while their treasure robbed? of course their allies HELP THEM!

I think this may leave atlantis with no choice but to completely wipe out france to prevent more counter-attacks with mpp's
ATLANTIS is now fighting a losing war. Their only option is to continue attacking simultaneously until all French provinces are taken. Otherwise they are pushed out one by one. France will sign more and more MPPs over the next days making the situation harder for the ATLANTIS coalition. The plan to only take a bit of ground has failed. The blitzkrieg must continue or the whole operation is doomed.

I don't think it's that strange. If you can defend with MPP's from all over the world (but not those so close that they border the enemy..) then you should be able to counterattack your original regions.
@ Caledfwylch: Sweden hopes to get control of the wood (and a border with eItaly) I presume.
By the way, I think we can point a finger to the admins on this one as well. Some rules have been unclear, there are a lot of questions and a few bugs/glitches but there's no input from the admins! The only article, 6 days ago, contained simple information you could find in every newspaper.
The MPP's are active because it's still the same war for which they were activated, all battles in that war will have MPP's. If France decides to attack a original swedish region, then it will trigger a new war, France won't have any MPP's and Sweden will have theirs. This is the logic behind mpp's, at least it appears to be so. MPP apply to wars, not single battles. If you were to make peace with France, then France attacks a original french region, it would have no mpp's.
Atlantis attacked France, but France is a member of Peace and you really don't expect to be fighting France alone ? The real problem here are the rules that aren't clear until you try something out and see how it works, then have to guess if it's intended or if it's a bug. I think the MPP's are intended to work this way.
You are losing groound because Sweden and Atlantis troops a cheaters (javiboss and companies) or a crybabies.

And France MPP's are still activated beacause we are still defending our territories by attacking and keeping back those which were taken over by other nation. Read the rule.

The whole idea of being able to join the fight from the otherside of the world is rotten. MPPs really should not give the option to teleport troops into the area. That has to be changed in the future. Warfare is warfare and the only way you should be able to participate is by attacking through a declaration of war or by sending troops into the country to fight.
Yea, MPP's for conquered territory is reallly dumb!
I still find it equally as odd as being able to attack a French region from Florida. I'm not complaining though, anything else would make hospitals useless.
the region is not ours (swedish), it is originally france. That was happened when Spain atatck portugal colony in Mexico.

@Misho: if a wipe-out is militarily possible, you have enough common ground for negotiating peace. That + peace contracts signed by admins (that hardly happenz) + retreat troops button = an alternative mechanism to limit unnecessary violence. If there was such a thing as unnecessary violence, of course...

If you can teleport from Indonesia to fight in a war, then you can teleport from Arizona or whatever - and vice versa.
If alliance members cannot fight together at will, then what is the point of making them? Why make separate mpp-s?
If you can travel instantly for work or enter into a party and take over it in any country, then why not the same for war?
If you can change nationality (equalling residence) umpteen times a day then why is it a problem to fight from wherever you want to?
and so on...

When you start a war :
- if you attack in a region which is originally of your country, ennemy's MPPs won't be active.
- if you attack in a region which is originally of your ennemy, MPPs will be active.
Then, MPPs are active all the war long.
If your ennemy decide to attack a region of yours, then, your MPPs will be active.

Hmm.. yes, there are a lot of things that do not make sense in this game. The question really is, where is the line between playability and realism? This is suppose to be a game mirroring the real world. Sort of spawn of Civilization and Risk. Yet, I do not see any elements of those two games in this game. Nor realism.
Complete redo of the political, economic and military systems would be in order. More structures that can be build to increase cultural points, better working economic system with larger chance of governmental influence to the prices, and a military system that is based on realism without completely destroying playability are what I would like to see in this game. Somehow I doubt that the game is heading towards that direction, though. In fact, no one knows where the game is heading or perhaps this is all there is ever going to be. The admins do not share their plans with the community, which is a big mistake in my opinion.
When the same thing was happening in Portugal / Spain war when Portugal's allies couldn't come to their aid, because Campeche was not an original region, I didn't hear Atlantis complain alongside the allies of Portugal.
What goes around, comes around. These rules have been in place for a long time and it disadvantages both alliances. We all have to deal with it, until a better system comes in place.

Now another bug appeared - Invitations sent to your friends will never reach them + I've got a friend that is waiting 3 days to get validation email ( surprisingly he got the invitation message )

In that I wholeheartedly agree.
As for the rest... we are now playing within the rules as they are set right now. It is too bad if we cannot even guess some of the rules, and have to play it by ear, but consider this: it is like this in real life as well... therefore at least in this aspect the game mirrors reality better than in any of the other aspects. 🙂
