Adieu
It is with a light heart looking towards the future that I now bid eThailand (and eRepublik in general) adieu. This is not a decision I take lightly; I've struggled with the temptation ever since October. Indeed, no small part of my reluctance to run for president these last three months can be thusly explained.
To those I worked with to rebuild eThailand and TRP with, it was a pleasure. To those I sparred with over the course of my citizenship, it was also a pleasure, albeit at times frustrating for me and likely tedious for you. To eThailand at large, I urge you to participate, consider both human judgment and game mechanics in making future decisions, and work for the common good rather than striving to flip a few more bits in the database field storing your Gold value. The only worthwhile aspect of this tedious, flat, ill-wrought game is the social aspect.
