Supporting valuable writers
One of the points of New Era is new players. But, I'd say we don't
care only about new players of OUR party, but about new players
altogether. We have a truly positive and inclusive policy about new
players, whichever their political profile.
We don't mind supporting good writers like:

And even if "our" new players have not such a backing from "other
parties", like excellent James Scarlet's articles:

I think we have to support all good informative articles no matter
whoever makes it and promote and vote them openheartedly. eRepublik
can be a place for culture and good informative articles about the
game can't be despised because of political divisions. A united
country is not rethorics but actual steps towards brotherhood.
I think we must set up a roadmap for real comradeship among different
parties, specially concerning new players.
Good feelings like respect, acknowledgement, sympathy must be common
among players from DIFFERENT parties, leaving aside harshness and
bitterness.
I propose these points :
1- Respect of speech: New players won't be fooled even if they talk
foolishness, and they won't banned or punished in forums.
2- Acknowledgement: Any informative article should be publicly
appraised by all , or, no good article shall be ignored because of the
political preferences of the writer.
3- As an act of constriction, we should speak good things about our
TRADITIONAL "POLITICAL ENEMIES". In this case, I speak about
Kravenn's and I remind you all the MPP with Brazil, the good plot of his that
made USA come closer to us and the TWO negotiations.
A better eUK means some actual actions to be made, some steps done.

Admirable sentiment, why the need to politicise it? Think you'll find that's most of the problem.
I was attacked by members of NE from the day I started this game and made a name for myself as po-TUP purely because I am a Unity Party member. Sure, we often do the same thing, which is silly, but to say you always welcome new player is not true.
Apart from that, admirable sentiment as Rory says. However, somewhat misinforming such as saying the forums are hostile. Theres only one person permanently banned with no appeal and thats cos he used up his rights to actually appeal due to failing to adhere to the rules time and again after his bans

the question is not getting votes for the sake of getting votes, but to reward quality regardless of writer's political opinions.

it is right what you say but as political enemy some think they have to find at least one flaw in every article of the other side to show them how dumb they are (though some really are dumb and you don't even have to search for flaws). and some might think it is bad to praise the enemy if this could cost you some of your members...
yesterday i read an article from some newbie where he calculated the salaries and the prices of q3weapons and his result was "as we see it is unprofitable to hire employees " when producing q3-weapons.
when i said he is losing 11.20cc with working as manager too (per q3weaponcompany) because he has raw-costs too and the raws alone are worth more than the q3-weapons he sai😛
"this is not about making the most money (if everyone sells the same thing eventually the value will decrease to unprofitable levels. Day one economics). This is about having some diversification in the market place. Where players can produce products profitably so that we have less collapses in industries."
and then i have to say there is NOTHING to praise in articles stating nonsense like this. other newbies read this stuff and see 'oh working with employees is bad so i just work as manager...' and then everyone is whining because of bad economy but they are burning their money with their own hands + then they ask for supplies from state because they can't afford weapons and stuff.
and some newbies also think everyone has to congratulate them just because they found the publish-button and got 3lines of text down... but thats wrong.
so what i want to say:
quite often you have the probelm that some see their articles as quality and don't even listen to 5 older players saying it is nonsense (because game mechanics or whatever) as long as their 50 or what (newbie-)friends cheer and say it's the best stuff they ever read...
but there you have the question, what carries more weight:
others saying the article is not good because X, Y, Z or
your 'friends' saying it's the best sh.t ever because it just is
this also gets political when you have a big newbie-party and on the other hand parties with older players.
for example every new generation of newbies in eGermany just wants to trash the poles to get the german core regions back - and everytime they will hear it is stupid and will never work - and everytime they won't listen. i have seen this repeating at least 4times now. and because in germany nearly all newbies are absorbed by one party this one is nearly always the origin of the du.b ideas no one needs. the last time one newbie even laid out a plan to ally all the other (nearly) wiped countries (netherlands-france-belgium etc to fight against the poles - the number of active citizens in all these countries together was just barely over the polish citizencount alone)
with the turkish-mercenary-MU trying to RW denmark to PTO it the newbies now have seen eGermany can't even win against one strong MU... so we will have our peace for 1month now until there are enough new newbies who didn't got this event and then it starts all over.
one problem is that people with similar features (like newbies with nearly no knowledge of the game and no ambition to change this) or ideas flock together and i get the feeling in these groups they just cheer for each other and there is no real criticism+ many don't even care to learn stuff about the game and then they write the craziest stuff i ever heard.
and because there is no critique inside the group the only critique has to come from outsiders. but these are 'the others' and (because they are the only source of critique) the in-group will get the feeling that these outsiders are always just b.tching and talking the articles of the in-group down. so the only source of real critique will not be seen as enrichment /entity to check the ideas on plausibility and whatever BUT it will be seen as bashing /the bad guys.

In eUk newbies don't flock together. Anyway, newbies are the future and handling them an utmost art.
Utmost difficult and important and rewarding art.
anyway, my point was rewarding GOOD ARTICLES, not nonsenses.
The fact you even had to say results in your party going down in my expectations...... you should already be helping smaller players.
