The Everyday American

Almost a week has passed without a battle for American citizens to participate in from home. The result of this lull in action has effected our economy, wellness and activity level. Without war in the game of eRepublik, economies falter, some citizens lose interest, the wellness of our country suffers.

All very important factors in the success of our rising nation, no doubt. However, lulls such as these are inevitable, scenarios change, wars draw to a stalemate. It's nothing more than the cycle of the game. America has cycled through times as these many times before. Our nation adds hundreds of members daily, yet the total number of Americans continues to hover around 20 thousand. This reflects the revolving door that is eRepublik, new players join, dead players are removed, around and around we go. The success of our country hinges on getting new players involved, educating them and helping them grow in game. As you can see America faces a dilemma. How do we continue the growth in between active wars?

The answer? Activity breeds Activity, Citizen retention, through education, Media, Political Party Programs and the Military. Our government has many programs which were formed to help new players get on their feet. In times like these, those programs grow in importance, whether it be mentor-ship programs, military enrollment (private or government run), Political Party training programs, or education through the media, there is a niche for anyone who is willing to help grow our community. All you have to do is offer your help and devote a little time to the enormous social network that exists separately from the eRepublik home page. The eUS forums are a wealth of knowledge, chatting on IRC can help you build relationships, writing articles and participating in discussions can make you well known. Becoming vocal is important, there are always people willing to answer your questions if you simply speak up. You will find there is a niche for what ever you aspire to do here, many paths for involvement, many career paths to follow.

This game may be geared and economically driven by war, but there is much more to do. Battles will come, the economy will rebound, and new problems will arise. Lugging our nation through a period of silence on the war front isn't an easy task, and I applaud those who spend their time on here trying to keep us rolling. The success of our country rests solely on the backs of our citizens and their commitments to become proactive in helping to grow and sustain the might of America.

Read our media, participate in discussions there, join the eUS forums, find answers to your questions, make suggestions for the direction of our country, recruit your friends to the game. Continue to work and train daily, continue to grow your citizens stats. Help keep America moving forward while we wait for our enemies to make a move, and wait for payback
