A Word to the Bored

Day 642, 21:05 Published in Greece USA by United Underdog

Something you can do for free to help your country and allied countries is to:

(1) Vote up the legitimate, official information in your country -- and not the propaganda from enemies.
(2) Vote up the propaganda in enemy countries -- and not the official info.
(3) Subscribe to every newspaper owned by a person who looks like a friendly. You never know; that vote may eventually send it to media mogul. (Not recommended if you actually use the subscription list, but recommended for Organizations, who can also do steps 1 and 2 several times for one player.)

Currently, good countries to propagandize include long-time rival Turkey and the republic of Spain and French babies oddly called "France":

-- Turkish press latest
-- French press latest

For both of these countries, it's pretty easy to spot the propaganda for which to vote. In Turkey, it will be in English and pro-Greece. In France, it will be in Spanish or English (or, rarely, French) and pro-Spain and/or pro-Canada. In France, you are reaching those who are living in exile (especially in the region of Aquitaine) more than the French themselves.

There are many good newspapers in Greece, but I want to highlight four that you should, pretty much, be reading and voting for reflexively.

-- Ethniki Amina, the newspaper with official battle orders from Greek minister of defense, Geokos
-- Voice of Hellas, the newspaper with articles from Greek president, Jaguaros. Occasionally published in Turkey, so watch it directly.
-- Announcements, the newspaper with articles from Greek minister of finance, Haralambos.
-- Ministry of Press eGreece, newspaper published by Isamoral, the appointed Minister of Press for Greece.

Other possible sources to which you may wish to subscribe and vote for (when in order, by descending number of subscribers)...

Party Presidents:

-- Hellenic Front, the newspaper of Constantinos, party president of the HPC.
-- The Philologist, the newspaper of Paulos Melas, party president of the EEK
-- Anemologio, the newspaper of papakona, party president of the EM

Greek-language or Greek/English newspapers among the top 50 by subscribers in Greece and currently active:

-- Thrakiotika nea, the newspaper of Makoulian, two-time congress member and once president
-- ETHNIKH IDEA, the newspaper of ESETAI HMAR, two-time congress member

-- The Underdog's Bark, this newspaper, with articles from Buck Roger
-- Balambani World News with articles from the Balambani brothers

-- The Free Speaker, the newspaper of Anthonios, two-time congress member

We currently have several formerly foreign-based newspapers in Greece, many of them with more subscribers than official newspapers, like that of the Ministry of Defense. Be cautious about voting for them, because we don't want the official sources to slide down off the top five, where many inexperienced players get all their news.

Do not forget, above all, to read and vote for the Greek Ministry of Defense Official Newspaper, with battle orders.

Also: If you moved to Greece recently, please take this survey, thanks!

Happy reading... and voting!
