A Week of Satire: The Royal Writers

Day 1,909, 07:18 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Mr Woldy

Bob save the King!

What-ho readers & listeners. You will be pleased to hear that in our attempts to make 'Bob Save' weekly, Jimbo and I have recorded the newest episode, episode 6, of our podcast.

As I am jetting off for a week this evening, this article may be published before it is uploaded, though it is likely Jimbo will finish editing before I hit publish, so by the time you're reading this, episode 6 should be on the only link you need in your life:

Episode 5, on the CP elections, was uploaded on the 4th. If you have listened to it yet, do!

As always, feedback is encouraged, Let us know what you think by commenting or PM, and maybe we'll treat you to an ever-illustrious 'shout-out'.

Royal Writers

I shall now move on to announce the Royal Writers for week ending Feb 10th. Before I do, I have to point out that as mentioned, I am taking a week off from life next week, so it is imperative that all article nominations be submitted to the doc, as I won't be able to see what's published during the week.

One thing that has struck me about this weeks Media was the proliferation of eSatire, a popular and expanding genre that I hope will have a continued presence in our media from here on in.

The first winner in the 'silly' category is Ullok, for his 'eUK Presidential Result Delayed'. A light hearted look at the elections.

Next is Mwcerberus, for 'So the Results are in'. Another funny outlook on politics!

Finally, Prof. J Moriarty for his 'The Manic Days of BigAnt', a collection of short poems.

This weeks new also saw some great 'srs bsns' articles, so another series of Royal Writer awards go to the following:

CheetahCurtis, for 'eUK Enemies: Where Are They Now'. An analysis of recent countries the eUK has been in conflict with.

Damien P Fleming, a rising star here in the eUK, for his 'Interview with the President', a concise interview with our new President, Richard Feist - worth a read!

And finally, H. S. Dovewatch, for 'election Reflections', a more serious look at the elections with an even snappier title.

Lastly, the publication of the week is 'SCANDALOUS' by Prof. J Moriarty.

Well done to all of the Royal Writers, and cash prizes are on there way.

The MoLA

Some of you may have noted that should buttjam have won, I was to be MoooooLA, well this is something I plan to pursue next month, and in the interim I shall be asking the public and congressmen to fill in various surveys (don't be alarmed if you get one) to help me craft my ideas for the ministry.

If you listen to BstK, or have read some of my previous articles, you may know what my vision for congress is, it is nearing the point where I am able to turn this into a tenable idea, so if you want to offer assistance, or if you yourself are enthusiastic about a reformed commons, get in touch and we'll form a good old fashioned lobby group. Or share your enthusiasm in the comments. >_>

In short, I want congress doing stuff. There's lots of rhetoric and reasoning for this, and I know what I want them to be doing, but again I need not burn typeface explaining it here when I have gone into in length in past article, and doubtless will do so again in the future. For now, WOLD-OUT.

Cheers,
HRH King Woldy I,

OBE, KCVS, MC, HRH.
