A Warning to All eCanadians: Propaganda is BAD!
Note: I don't think I'm a perfect journalist, I've made my mistakes, for which I apologise. However, I think that I've always tried to keep a certain level in my articles, and I feel, that I do have a right to criticise others for writing bad articles.
Oh yes! Another article I can review and tell you how dumb it is! Yes, yes, yes! Anyway, this time on my plate, We have Keldire and his article in "The eCanadian Underground", with the name being ironic, given the amount of CEP hate propaganda in his latest article, A Warning to All eCanadian Citizens. Oh, yes, yes, yes! I can sling mud at someone once again!
Anyway, as I was reading the article, I was simultaneously asking myself, what's wrong with this guy? He's trying to prove something, by proving absolutely nothing. He gives non-existent examples of mistakes, and shortcomings. Just look at this:
Why are there so many unnecessary cabinet positions in existence with this administration? Keldire asks... Now which position does he mean? Minister of Defence perhaps? Or maybe... Minister of Finance, who needs him? I know! Prime Minister is the most unecessary one! And why do We need an Attorney General? Or maybe it's me! I'm useless at the Ministry of Immigration!
It is my belief that there are several redundant positions at the moment only serving to weaken our security measures and raise a person’s social/political standing, rather than being of any real use.
Why... Don't... You... People... Give... Examples?!
How was the current cabinet selected? I don’t think it would be unreasonable to suggest that the current cabinet is filled with those Jacobi owed favors to. The old you scratch my back, I scratch your back.
Everything is unreasonable without proof, oh beautiful propaganda. Tell me, Bruck-lover, what the hell was Augustus Baldwin doing in your idols Cabinet?
I will say that there are many members who have not taken an active role in eCanada and have not earned the responsibility that they have been charged with.
Examples... Please! And proof, please! My God, you're irritating!
If you think that the scandals of the last administration were bad, this new government has set themselves up to do far more damage.
Ok, so We will lose loads of gold, just because We have lots of Cabinet members, from which most of them don't even have access to Government funds! Jeez!
Not only is there greater potential but we will also be faced with the fact that it will be far harder to investigate any thefts as there will be far more suspects to sort through.
Do you really think all the Cabinet members have access to all government organizations? Well, I'll give you an answer: NO THEY DON'T! From my calculations, there isn't more people having access to government funds, than in Bruck's administration, but I'd have to re-check that. Even if there is more, I think there's a max of 1 additional suspect to your beautiful list! That's sooo much. Especially given that all deputies are confirmed by the PM, so no Gofarman comes through.
Please also remember that every last one of those cabinet members have full access to all of our nations secrets. The information they have access to, if placed in the wrong hands, could be used to utterly cripple our country.
Of course, everybody has access to the CAF High Command, and everybody has access to the treasury, CND, and the MoF. Not mentioning Immigration Canada, or the CHS. They don't have access to all of our secrets, that's hyperbole, mate.
There are rumors that the cabinet is in utter chaos with resignations already beginning. Will this just be an ineffective, revolving door cabinet?
Hey, is your newspaper a tabloid? It sure sounds like one, when using rumors. Checking things out is a sign of a good journalist. In my opinion, your latest article proves, that you are a shitty one.
Mistakes were made by the last administration and I would like to see the current administration put aside their arrogance and learn from those mistakes lest we be doomed to repeat them.
I don't get it. What arrogance? If any administration was arrogant, it was Bruck's, especially on the issue of Congressional transparency for two terms.
In my opinion, the current administration has cast serious doubt on their abilities to run an effective government.

andy the current government is doing the same as the last, there excuding the cep. i agree that there should be no back and forth insults but that article did have a point, there are to many new poeple in cabinet.
I don't have a long list like Keldire, as I have only one thing to disagree with: the title.
Propaganda is not bad:
1) It gets you votes on the article.
2) It gets you subscriptions from likeminded individuals that will vote up your later articles.
3) It can motivate large groups of people in a very short period.
Without propaganda, I would probably have forgotten to vote, fight in a war, or even voice my opinion. Without black and white distinctions between what is "good" and "bad," there would be far too little to read in eRep media and I'd probably resort to watching CNN to fill up my time.
Still no proof, or examples. You say "several positions are unnecessary" and you don't even say which. That's not a figure in a discussion, you don't even prove your point.
And maybe I should count the parties in Bruck's Cabinet and check the percentage? Where was the 10% for the PNQ?! Oh, who cares about Bruck's shortocomings, lets whine about someone that isn't your party President, now isn't that fun?

I'm not going to say how arrogant Bruck was, and you still are so convinced that Jacobi trusting his Cabinet is wrong. Name me one person, that is unworthy of trust. Can't? Too bad.

Aren't cabinet members chosen by being the best at what they do, example: AR, and not by what party they represent?
Couple of drama Queens. I'm going to do what any smart citizen will do. Judge by the term of the current government and not by the words of a couple of parasites trying to suck blood from one another.

I'm not a Jacobi supporter (havent been around for long enought to have my opinion) but I agree that the article was the worst I have ever seen, like you said, not a single proof, just asumptions, the underground deserves to have all it's readers unsubscribed.

hey propaganda is just like the tabloids. If ya don't like it don't support. Obviously the old boys club is gonna try and get back in favor with the populace and get back in power. If the new govt faulters its there job and responsibility to point out its faults and keep us informed. Not saying the article was fact but is a good way to keep the young guns on there toes. As a newer citizen I keep an open mind and listen to both sides.
All i can say is that when the intellectual debate to reduced to yelling and screaming matches, such debate becomes ineffective. If clear and undisputeable evidence can prove the arguments made, then we are the better for it. As a memeber of congress, i can say that although the government has not been perfect, it has functioned no worse than the previous adminstration. Do i think it could be better? Yes, but i will collect my thoughts and deliver my concerns when appropriate and in a responsible manner, so until then all i will say is lets stick to specific, supported critiques, not gossip.
