A Natural Progression...

Hey F*ckers,

So it appears that the eUK dream of an Empire has been dashed by that Gold Loving Nonce, Plato. These 'wonderful' new game mechanics has basically tied one arm behind an oppressors back and made it easier for countries shittier than us to break free more regular. Our piss poor damage direction coupled with the lack of game strategy and activeness in the eUK made it pretty tough going to hold multiple countries down even with the old mechanics, now it's virtually impossible to for us to hold a country for any length of time.

Empire or Bust!, pretty much the most exciting thing we have tried in the entire time I have played has failed. Or so it would seem... in my eyes Empire or Bust! was never about vast swathes of regions and it was certainly never about Deer. It was about a change in mentality and a different outlook on what we should concentrate on with regards to eRepublik. What we wanted to achieve was a country hell bent on wars and becoming a stronger nation rather than the circle jerking in the forums and the playing of 'politics' in game.

In the gentlemanly sport of pugilism, you wouldn't stick your fighter up against the champion in his first fight. No, instead you hand pick lesser opponents such as that drunken Irish boxer or the slightly weird looking Norwegian, whose eyes are suspiciously too close together. This not only builds up your fighters confidence and courage without endangering your man but also allows him to practice his jab and his fancy footwork. But you can only smash them for so long before the benefits of fighting them starts to wear off, this is when you need to step up in class in order to carry on the development.

It's time to step up eUK. Yesterday, a chance to do that came about and we failed to take it. Fighting eCanada is the natural progression for eUK, a step above the Irish, Norgies and Finnish, but a step below the likes of the Germans and the French. eUK will never be a world power, but we can be a regional power. In order to do that we need to slap our neighbours about and show em who rules the roost. NEing eCanada would be a statement of intent from us. One I truly believe we should be making. So as soon as I can reset the Natural Enemy proposal I will be and I urge my fellow Congressman to vote yes...

cuz to be honest, who don't like fighting Canadurp?
