A Modest Proposal

13 Day 620, 18:40 USA
Dear Men and Women running for President of the eUnited States,

These are dark times; all of you know this. Though it is imperative that we democratically elect a President for the upcoming month, now is not the time for personal attacks, for trolling and mud-slinging. The time for division is past, now is the time for unity. Now is that time when we must be the UNITED States of America. You few, those respected enough to run for this highest office are the ones that the rest of us look to for leadership in these trying times, do you want the public to see bickering and finger pointing while PEACE attacks our regions? Or do you want unity and respectful, honest discussion to be that which is remembered? Here and now, I call upon all candidates for President to pledge your intention to run a clean, honest campaign in the coming days, to avoid negative campaigning and to run on your own strengths.

For all others reading this, I would ask that you question your candidate if they do not agree to this, it is in the best interest of all to set partisan politics aside and to simply run a good, honest campaign.

No way dude! They need to sling mud, call each other names, and make up lies about each other. Anything else would just be boring.

I agree 100%! So, who is your party endorsing and when are you removing Carl Bishop from the election list?

Yes, let's stick to the issues and have an honest conversation, even with Harry Richardson. HR will have to realize the current climate will fall at his feet, I hope he responds with facts and policy proposals and not with charges of disunity and treason, as the cheerleaders regularly throw. We need trusted and capable leadership right now.

>as the cheerleaders regularly throw.

I love how the poster advocates for the author's position, yet somehow manages to throw in the gratuitous shot anyway. Way to be be consistent.

As for the article, here here. I still believe that instead of grand promises concerning the future, we should be grilling each and every candidate on how they might conduct the war. The one with the best grasp of game mechanics and strategy, wins. Seems simple.

I am all for grilling the candidates, asking them all questions

There's no fun in a clean, honest campaign. It's more fun to discuss the affair between the president (Harrison Richardson) and Elizabeth Jones. Just wait for the photos!

We already know where Chris and HR stands on this war. You have a choice, surrender and sell-out our allies ( Chris ) or Fight and die with dignity ( Harrison Richardson ). So far those are the only two running that I know of yet.

uh huh...why can't we all just get along?...boo hoo...all this bickering is dividing us...BULL! We aren't losing our country because our leaders weren't working together, we are losing because our leaders are selfish, self serving buffoons...OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!

@Drac

Chris didn't share the details of the Peace treaty because he agreed with it, he shared it because he wanted people to know. I am not saying I support him, but it is unfair when people say he is just going to surrender if he wins.

If you want change then let Washington know...

Take the poll see the results of what eMerica desires...

Daniel Dodge is right; Chris shared it because he wants this to be a government for the people, by the people, perhaps to a fault. From what he's said, he'll do whatever the people want, despite whatever his own opinions are on the matter, NOT immediately just surrender as HR falsely claims.

Daniel Dodge has a good point, and I will stick to talking about what I think we should do and my plans for my administration.
