A letter from ME to ATLANTIS

When you'll be reading this, Argentina would have left ATLANTIS. That's not my decision, but the decision of our congress with more than 80% of the votes and the decision of the vast majority of Argentinean people. But, before leaving the alliance, it could be a good thing to clarify that we're leaving the alliance in a legit way, the way that the ATLANTIS charter specifies.


The Atlantis treaty has been violated more than once, by many countries.
This treaty says that wars should be announced to all members 48 hours before starting the declaration. In two times in the two months I've spent here, a war was declared by an ATLANTIS member without I nor the other presidents knowing about it, strangely enough, those two breakings come from countries in which we're seen as traitors
Atlantis is a defensive alliance. However we were required to attack. Even the spanish government blamed us for not attackign to support their attack, when we were not forced to, and not even asked to. Then, when we had to defend Argentina, the defense was clearly not enough. At the same time, one ATLANTIS country did 7 times more damage in another battleground than in Argentina.

In those 7 days we were getting out, we were expected to help Sweden in their RW (RW are not included in ATLANTIS treaty) and Spain in their attacks (not included neither in the ATLANTIS treaty). But before those 7 days were gone, I had my access to ATLANTIS forum first restricted and then cancelled. If we were those last 2 months a second-rate country in ATLANTIS, those last 7 days had us relegated to a third-rate. This was ashaming.

But we’re not complaining for this, we only want you to see that we haven’t worked as a real alliance. Since things gone bad on the French front, for being more exact. People started to sign peace treaties without other members’ knowledge and to declare wars and think about expand their territories while a member nation was being attacked. Now you’re losing the only door that Atlantis had with Indonesia, an important and strategically point that some of you haven’t appreciated as it deserved.

We're not talking only about breaching rules, we're talking about breaching the spirit of the alliance. Let me say you that this is not the ATLANTIS our president saw 2 months ago when reached presidency, or the ATLANTIS that our MoFA joined , 4 months ago.


We all have seen a troubling deep lack of communication, and I daresay a lack of foresight, spending a lot of gold and lots of weapons in the French front, when everyone knew that Argentina were going to be attacked soon or later.
We really appreciate your help and even friendship in some cases, but Argentinean people feels like Atlantis is not a secure option for us anymore. Even with our mpps activated, we were losing Cuyo if a bug hasn’t saved us.


I'd like to have a few lines about Cuyo. Fact is that a bug had saved us because when indoensians conquered the region the battle was started again at time 0. Fact is that when the "help" came, the battle did end 30 minutes ago, and wasn't finished for the ceasefire agreement and that bug. We were not going to break a ceasefire and profit ourselves for a bug precisely because we're not traitors, traitors to our word, our honour and the game itself. The non-written rules of the game, like some ATLANTIS member said when talking against PEACE.


All this issues have a solution, but now Argentinean people don’t trust Atlantis anymore. We want to wish luck for you in the future, especially to Croatia and Finland; we hope you won’t have to suffer this issues and Atlantis will start to work as an alliance again, moved by your new blood. But it will have to work without us. Even if I personally was convinced to stay, our congress (who voted 80% to go out) would veto anything and the people wouldn't fight for something they don't see as theirs


And this is not an obligation from Indo or Brazil in order to sign a peace treaty with them. Argentina does this voluntarily, Argentinean people have asked us to do this. We’ll remain neutral until our Congress, who represents the will of the people says other thing, so we hope we could maintain good relations with all of you, especially with those who were fighting with us until the end.


This is not a forever farewell, but it's just that THIS Argentina can't be on THIS Atlantis on THIS situation. Maybe soon one of those THIS will change and thus we could rethink the situation soon, but for the moment, we cannot. The daw ATLANTIS is an alliance and not a gang, would be a day in which we will congratulate you. However, This day isn't today, and won't be tomorrow.


@ All who calls us traitors: Congratulations for not understanding the game, or being unable to see it thanks to your selfishness, anyway we counsider ourselves to be betrayed, not to be traitor.


We're not in PEACE. We have no MPP with indonesia. We tried to get a MPP with Spain, our longtime allies, who helped us and were helped by us on the last war, but their congress refused, amisdt roars that were calling us traitors. I tried all what I could and from now on will not feel responsible for the actions of the Argentineans, who individually are encouraged to follow freely their thoughts.
