A journey to the New Byzantine Empire!

Following the successful liberating wars of the Serbian Empire against eTurkey, the New Byzantine Empire has eventually risen!

As a result, I decided to visit my liberated fatherland in order to witness myself all these majestic places where my Greek ancestors were born, lived and thrived!

Below you can find photos from all the different cities and regions I have been to!

Here it's me in Constantinople, attending the first holy service in the restored church of Ayia Sofia!

Here I'm enjoying the sunset over the beautiful Aegean Sea in the city of Smyrni!

Here I am at a local fest in Sampsounta, listening to compatriots playing the lyre and singing traditional songs of Pontos!

Here I'm having fun with a couple of Turkish chicks in Ankyra! They were really amazing! Thanks for the warm welcoming babes!

Last but not least, bonding with Armenian brothers in Theodosiopolis! Their lahmajun is divine, I must admit!

To je bilo RIMSKO CARSTVO, a svi mi, pravoslavni narodi, smodpravi naslednici Rimskog Carstva, a ne Švabe i Papa. Švabe su izmislile naziv Vizantija da bi dali legitimitet svojem lažnom Svetom "Rimskom" Carstvu Nemačkog Naroda i papi kao nasledniku Konstantina Velikog na Zapadu. Zabole mene ako vam se ne sviđa, ali to je istina!!!!!!!!

Па то сам ја рекао, а Византијско Царство је још једно име за Источно Римско Царство. А заболе нас шта Швабе кажу. А сви ови градови на сликама су грчки, осим Анкаре и Теодосиополиса. А Анкара је грчко име иначе, "Агира" на грчком значи сидро.

General Stonewall Jackson is right. The term "Byzantium" and "Byzantine empire" was introduced far after the fall of Constantinople by the German (such a surprise!!!) "historian" Hieronymus. The reason was simple. There could be only one anchestor of "Roman empire" name, and that would be the barbaric german "holy roman empire"

I agreed with him above, but the term Byzantine Empire represents an empire with Greek culture, Greek language and Orthodoxy being located at its very centre, despite the jumble of different ethnic groups which lived across its territory, and despite the various ethnic origins of its emperors. This term also sounds better than Eastern Roman Empire and it pisses off Turks, so I am very eager to use it. 😉

constantine XI or constantine palaiologus, was the greek king of constantinople, and the last king of byzantium.

the king that you call ''constantine dragash'' was the SERBIAN king of the serbian vassal empire, (which was under ottoman rule) and he tried to liberate it from the ottoman turks.

however, his daughter jelena, married to manuel II palaiologus (king of byzantium), and thus, his grandson , constantine XI palaiologus, added the middle-name ''dragasis'' which was a hellenised version of the serbian name ''dragash''...

byzantium existed, and it was the (eastern) roman empire, a branch of the roman empire that outlived the western roman empire.

Just for info here, the "Roman Empire" name was very popular at the time, and everyone wanted to get it's legacy. Even Mehmed II after 1453 proclaimed himself and his ottoman empire to be anchestors of Roman empire xD

1. western roman empire:
-started by the romans (latins), ended in the early AD years. (5th century AD)

it was always named the holy roman empire, and it had latin language, and the roman civilisation was its power/core/center.

2. eastern roman (romaiic) empire: (aka byzantium):
-started by byzantas on 330 AD, it was the EASTERN part of the (roman) holy roman empire.
it started as a united part of the roman kingdom, but after the dividing of the empire between the latin west and the greek east, and following the fall of the western roman empire (5th century AD), this part of the empire remained alive, and named itself ''the holy romaiic empire'', while maintaining the glory of rome alive for at least 1000 more years, until the fateful day when the ottomans destroyed constantinople in 1453.

was byzantium the eastern roman empire, AKA the spiritual descendant of the old, western roman empire?
YES.

when byzantium died, the second roman empire died....

and thus, the ottomans (mehmet II) tried to claim that they were the successors of the roman empire, an ironic title....

but then, in around 900 AD, a new ''roman'' empire would rise:
this time the germans would claim the holy roman empire as their own.
and they kept it alive for 900 years, and i dont even know why they dissolved it, it was pretty cool.

(even if it was a fake descendant of rome)

but then again losing by napoleon is what caused the state to be dissolved, so i understand.

Zvali su se Romajoi (grcka rec za Rimljane). Otuda su Turci, kad su ih napadali, nazivali Rum, a od te reci i naziv Rumelija.

Vizantija je termin koji je izumeo Hijeronim Vulf da bi se razlikovala tri rimska carstva: ono prvo i glavno, zatim Rimsko carstvo nemackog naroda (na engleskom Holy Roman Empire) i ovo trece, Romejsko.

Ono jeste bilo rimsko jer je bilo carstvo. U hijerarhiji drzava, samo je jedno carstvo. Zato je Karlo Veliki probao da sjebe Vizantiju da bi bio jedini car.
Isto tako, SImeon Bugarski i Dusan Srpski nisu pokusavali da svoje zemlje naprave carstvima, vec da se spoje za Vizantijom u jedno, tj. da oni budu to carstvo.

Kakve su vam ovo gluposti? Kakva Vizantija, kakvi Grci? To je izmišljotina iz XVII stoleća. Naš Imperator Stefan Uroš IV Dušan Nemanjić je bio Car Srba i Rimljana, a ne kako Nemci tvrde Srba i Grka.

Gledali ste razne propagandne filmove pod nazivima "Poslednji Rimski Car" , "Poslednja legija" i slične pizdarije. Poslednji Rimski Imperator je bio Konstantin XI Dragaš - SRBIN!
