A Glimpse Into a One Track Multifaceted Mind
Thank you for voting me eIrelander of the Month. I really do appreciate it. It's nice to know that I have the respect of my fellow eIrish. Congratulations to the other winners as well. They are all deserving.
Now down to business.
It's Presidential Election time. *bounces in chair*
This month will be especially interesting. Patton is closing out the last of his three fantastic terms and now it's anyone's game. And I really mean that.
As an independent thinker, this puts me in a very happy place. So many choices, so many variables to consider. I like having a lot to choose from. I have what is called a one track multifaceted mind. The more complex something is, the more I like it. I am offering a glimpse into the inner workings of my mind as I reason out my pick for president. BUT be forewarned, I will not reveal who that is. You need to think for yourself. I'm just giving you some food for thought.
Uaithne
One of our top 25 citizens in Ireland, General Uaithne has an impressive resume. 11 Hardworker Medals and 8 Congressional Terms under her belt. She is most definitely an active citizen and an active TD. My personal dealings with her have been straightforward and honest. We have not always agreed, but there is definitely a respect there that has been well earned.
One thing that caught my attention was her emphasis on her running mate, Darragh. Very smart. Uaithne has not lived overseas. That does not mean she is not knowledgable in foreign affairs, it is just an acknowledgement that there are others who have this experience and she is willing to utilize them. Darragh definitely has foreign affairs experience.
What Uainthe brings to the table is an insane amount of organization. Something that is lacking at the moment, imho. If the Master Plan is to be implemented we need to be organized. So I could see how she would be a good choice for President. I would like to hear more about how she plans on implementing the Master Plan.

Ah, John.
He and I have had a tumultuous relationship to start with. We have since worked it out. I rather like, John. I like the ones who are a bit unusual. (That's a good thing, John.)
Colonel John would be the youngest candidate out of the four. The current Minister of Immigration, three hardworker medals and a Congressional Term under his belt. He is active and definitely ambitious. He has a sincere desire to serve.
He is showing promise with his efforts in the Ministry of Immigration. However, his lack of experience is a liability. I would be interested in hearing more from this candidate.
Niall H
Here is another that I don't always agree with, but have tremendous respect for. He has certainly helped me out a time a two when I needed it. Don't be fooled by his stats. Niall has been around a lot longer than his profile states. I'll let him tell you his story. It's a harrowing tale of the pitfalls of Multiing. (Very bad. You should never use multiple profiles!)
Anyway, the fact that he has climbed back up so rapidly is remarkable in and of itself. Colonel Niall is very active and he makes really pretty pictures, which he was recognized for this past month. And he has the distinction of having the first Irish article to go global. He is the current Minister of Foreign Affairs and founder of the Saoirse Party.
Aside from the pretty pictures, what caught my eye is the thoroughness. He has addressed every single area of concern. The only thing that I find lacking is the economics outlook. I'm not as optimistic as he is. I would like to hear more from this candidate about how the current embargos and how he will increase our GDP by 5%.
Appleman
This is probably the candidate I've had the least personal contact with. I can only go by what others say about him, and the majority of it by far is good. General Appleman has five hard worker medals and 8 Congressional Terms under his belt. He is a business owner with 14 orgs and over 100 employees. I'm thinking this guy knows his stuff as far as business owners are concerned. Former Minister of Education and has worked for the Minisistry of Finance and Industry for several terms. I know in the Dail if there is a question about economics, Appleman is always involved in that discussion providing insight.
Applemans obvious strength is economics focused. I think we need to hear more about this. I would like to see how all that business experience translates into results for Ireland. What does Economic Stabilty meant to him? What does he see as the main issue economically for Ireland and how will he address it via the Master Plan?
The only weakness I see with Appleman is lack of info. I need more! I'm hungry for more information. I like to be educated. So educate me, please.
Ok. I think that's enough for now. I hope you found this helpful. I really hope the candidates read this and respond. One thing I do know is that whoever is chosen as President, Ireland will continue to grow and prosper. I like that. So different from RL. lol I keep remembering the South Park episode. It was a parady of the 2004 RL US elections. Do you remember the episode I'm talking about? The one with the school mascots and PETA?
I'm done now.
Carry on.

Nice article. Stay tuned for the Presidential Election Guide for Dummies. Out tomorrow.
I vote for....Edana
Great article, I enjoyed the read.
My thoughts on one of the candidates are the exact same as yours. I'm finding it quite funny.
Great article, I think it's helpful for deciding on who to vote for.
Good one.
Thankyou Edana Im currently on the lookout for a Vice President who compliments my weaknesses thus making me a better option.
When you write article like this you deserve the "Most Acclaimed Publisher" more than me
Thanks Niall
Excellent guide Edana !
IRP? excluded? hell I didn't even hear of the guy
Good article.
Thank you for the kind words Edana and your rundown on all of us running. I would like to wish all three of my opponents luck. I myself will be relieving the stress of the day by taking it out on PS3 villains.
My thoughts go with you maiden of the emerald Isle.
Oh and btw that is officially what Im calling you from now on
Edana I would implement the Master Plan simply by listening to the creators, all of the involved Ministers and follow all recommendations and advice given pertaining to the plan. I would also be standing over them with a large whip made of licorice to see that all is done as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.
'Whip of licorice'
Hmmm, no comment
By the way, what boxes do you destroy?
Great Article Edana!
I just now realised I'm somehow not subscribed to you, Edana. I swear I subscribed when you released your first article.
*rectifies that immediately*
@John I don't like boxes that confine, demean, or repress. I do like nice boxes, like gift boxes or jewelry boxes, however.
@Uaithne and Niall Thank you for commenting and posting your reponses. This was exactly what I was hoping for.
@Rhett lol I don't know that I would qualify as a "maiden". A nice thought. "Goddess" would be more appropriate. Although I would never think of myself on the caliber of Grainne. She is THE Goddess.
@Dan I didn't include Kikeal because I haven't seen anything anywhere about him running other than the list. I have little to no personal contact with him. I wouldn't know what to say. lol

Ah, metaphorical boxes?!
