A critique of both sides of the spectrum
Callumh123
I have been quietly observing for awhile now, usually I’m one of those are at the forefront of argument. But I decided to keep my head down, worked behind the scenes and have been trying to do the best possible job as Speaker (Despite Schoft believing otherwise). But now I am speaking up on a number of issues.
1. Discrate1 is CP, get over it. This goes namely to Venja, Jason and Binda. I have been apart of both camps for the most of the term. But after realising this opposition was being a deterrent to Australian getting out of our perilous situation I feel ashamed you guys are trying to make things harder for incumbent, for the sake of a vendetta. And don’t try to masquerade it as something else. It is. So don’t be bitter.
2. That being said, Discrate you did the exact same thing so don’t be a hypocrite. You did nothing but hinder the work of a well working Government for the sake of your campaign. As a member of the ANP at the time I publically denounced the attacks. The LS was VOTED FOR by the Senate at the time. It was not shoved down the throats of senators. We were at that time experiencing good relations with NZ and saw the chance to increase our resources with minimum fuss. The only person at the time that publically denounced the move was Schoft, before he took a massive hissy fit.
3. Do not blame Discrate or Binda for the Chile invasion. It had nothing to do with either of them. This happened due to a conflict on another continent between two belligerents who have been at each other’s throats for ages now.
4. There is not point blaming Discrate for Argentinean Militias failing to come through on a promise. I have seen the logs and I have seen how much support they were to provide us with. Argentina came through with some damage, which I am thankful for. But it was nowhere near what some Argentinean Militia leaders hyped it up to be
Now that those issues are out of the way, what should the Government and the country do next in my opinion? Negotiate the release of two states (One even) in time for Senate Elections. Chile are not directly mad at us, they are just hiding from Argentina in an attempt to mature their population to fight back with this.
So we were just easy prey at the time. Personally, I feel we can work with the Chileans in releasing some our land in the short term, while we work out a long term solution can be found.
Should we use mercs? No. I think we can diplomatically release some of our regions and wasting money on mercs will only bleed us dry, as Chile will easily just take the region back. We are a small nation and we need to be realistic, our nation cannot sustain a long term war with Chile with no regions. We just can’t.
We should keep the money for funding eAustralians, growing our fighters and finding ways to better organise our military. We have the strength to formidable; we are just wasting damage by not using it effectively.
This is not just for the Government to do, all citizens need to band together and help one another. Make the Governments job easier by coming on IRC and participate in coordinated hits, or actually follow orders or just use your damage smartly, don’t just go for that battle hero. Put your hand up and help Quartermaster or Coordinate battles and most importantly get involved.
The last point I will be discussing is Alliances. We are surrounded by CoT or pro CoT nations. We cannot escape that fact. Old alliances and alliance paradigms are shifting in a big way (That being with the formation of CTRL and CoT). We need to reassess our alignment with some allies and rethink our foreign policy. When the games changes we need to decide to either change with it or get eaten up by the proverbial shitter.
The choice is your eAustralians, this is just my 2 cents.

Shock! Horror! Someone is applying logic and reason in eAustralia. I never thought I'd see this day 😛
Yeah, Callumh has always been the voice of reason. Only problem is that he's somewhat of a dreamer, and not a realist.

Voted for truth!
Well said, even with your trademark grammatical errors 😛😛
Get active eAus, this is our major problem, too many get active to bitch and argue but not actually help, active means IRC, not forums, not comments on articles, the real life community is here every day, so join and be a part of the action, only then can we coordinate effectively.
Once upon a time i used to run #aus-hit, it was so effective that we even beat back Indonesia successfully, we need this again, it's the only way ....
It was too long to care about grammatical errors ;_;

You can't blaim the lack of diplomacy... The goal is fight back... And then diplomacy.
That's the way this game works.
We need to fight hard, so our allies can watch and help.
So... First, organize a RW with all power we can get... Then we ask for help. Or negotiate...
maybe chile would be willing to give us the brazil/SA borders to protect them from brazil hits if it ever came to that, atleast then both nations can rebuild together with possibilities of land swaps as the bonuses run out
This man speaks the truth, hopefully its not too late for eAustralia to hear it and respond but i feel it may be given these factions have been at each others throat since before this great man was eborn.
Why steal larnis article title callum!
Did I? How embarrassing. Will change.
As per usual, the only relief we will get from a vastly larger aggressor, is when they get tired of sustaining themselves against our RWs. We have done this one million times with Indo, guys. How short are your memories...?
Political safe grounds .. diplomacy .. glass half full - not empty ..
So Cal is this the preamble to you announcing a run for CP? 😛
@infin, Chile is a different belligerent all together. There reason for wipe differs from Indo.
@TJ All will be revealed soon.
I do not care for either Argentina or Chile. However, whichever country helps us get Australia back I am willing to support them to wipe out the other.

Spot on infin, and I don't think that Chileans are as tough as indos
I for one wub Callumh's grammatical errors.
"Spot on infin, and I don't think that Chileans are as tough as indos "
Well, if you see it from that sporty point of view: Challenge accepted ;/
How long did they occupy you guys?
Well said Callumh looks like you and I are both dreamers 🙂. Voted
dreamers are the future, if you don't know something is 'impossible' then is it really?
Good article.
It is not called a hissy fit if you see what the future brings. New Zerbians are never ever trusted.
I'm 100% with you on realigning our foreign policy as I stated this earlier in my article. I think it's time for something diffrent, after all we have nothing to lose.
Agree with bold text, not agree with talking with Chileans, fck them
Icetek what are you hoping for with Aus "realigning its foreign policy?
We do something new & all our troubles magically disappear.
Of course they wont
In the end its up to us
We get to within 20 points of a win as is... a little push is all that is needed. Just no coming.
Ultimately, we will win. The real question is how long are we prepared to wait for it? Chile need to also ask themselves if they are ready for a hostile Australia into the future. Until now, we have quietly tried tried to make Argentina desist. We don't actively support Chilean wars except for one or two instances during the Bulgarian invasion.
So, do Chile want Aus+Arg as enemy? Or just Arg?
As to alliances, do we go with:
a) an alliance that respects sovereignty and fights wars of liberation
b) an alliance that is all about resource bonuses and builds empires
c) an alliance that is focused on its regions and RL hatred
hmmm
Dreamers are our future 😉
Stop with the blame game, only solutions needed.
My response to the merc solution is that we only need to liberate our regions and drive them out to sea. With none of their own regions to speak of, they cannot retaliate until Argentina frees their homeland.
We've beat the Indos before and they were a lot stronger than Chile today.
Up, up and away!!!!!
