A critique of both sides of the spectrum

Day 1,766, 03:55 Published in Australia Australia by Callumh123

I have been quietly observing for awhile now, usually I’m one of those are at the forefront of argument. But I decided to keep my head down, worked behind the scenes and have been trying to do the best possible job as Speaker (Despite Schoft believing otherwise). But now I am speaking up on a number of issues.

1. Discrate1 is CP, get over it. This goes namely to Venja, Jason and Binda. I have been apart of both camps for the most of the term. But after realising this opposition was being a deterrent to Australian getting out of our perilous situation I feel ashamed you guys are trying to make things harder for incumbent, for the sake of a vendetta. And don’t try to masquerade it as something else. It is. So don’t be bitter.

2. That being said, Discrate you did the exact same thing so don’t be a hypocrite. You did nothing but hinder the work of a well working Government for the sake of your campaign. As a member of the ANP at the time I publically denounced the attacks. The LS was VOTED FOR by the Senate at the time. It was not shoved down the throats of senators. We were at that time experiencing good relations with NZ and saw the chance to increase our resources with minimum fuss. The only person at the time that publically denounced the move was Schoft, before he took a massive hissy fit.

3. Do not blame Discrate or Binda for the Chile invasion. It had nothing to do with either of them. This happened due to a conflict on another continent between two belligerents who have been at each other’s throats for ages now.

4. There is not point blaming Discrate for Argentinean Militias failing to come through on a promise. I have seen the logs and I have seen how much support they were to provide us with. Argentina came through with some damage, which I am thankful for. But it was nowhere near what some Argentinean Militia leaders hyped it up to be

Now that those issues are out of the way, what should the Government and the country do next in my opinion? Negotiate the release of two states (One even) in time for Senate Elections. Chile are not directly mad at us, they are just hiding from Argentina in an attempt to mature their population to fight back with this.

So we were just easy prey at the time. Personally, I feel we can work with the Chileans in releasing some our land in the short term, while we work out a long term solution can be found.

Should we use mercs? No. I think we can diplomatically release some of our regions and wasting money on mercs will only bleed us dry, as Chile will easily just take the region back. We are a small nation and we need to be realistic, our nation cannot sustain a long term war with Chile with no regions. We just can’t.

We should keep the money for funding eAustralians, growing our fighters and finding ways to better organise our military. We have the strength to formidable; we are just wasting damage by not using it effectively.

This is not just for the Government to do, all citizens need to band together and help one another. Make the Governments job easier by coming on IRC and participate in coordinated hits, or actually follow orders or just use your damage smartly, don’t just go for that battle hero. Put your hand up and help Quartermaster or Coordinate battles and most importantly get involved.

The last point I will be discussing is Alliances. We are surrounded by CoT or pro CoT nations. We cannot escape that fact. Old alliances and alliance paradigms are shifting in a big way (That being with the formation of CTRL and CoT). We need to reassess our alignment with some allies and rethink our foreign policy. When the games changes we need to decide to either change with it or get eaten up by the proverbial shitter.

The choice is your eAustralians, this is just my 2 cents.
