Rakkeyal For Parliament

Day 701, 19:14 Published in Australia Australia by Rakkeyal

Hello Australia,
Hello Northern Territory
Hello fellow Independents.

I am running for parliament this month on my first bid.
I will try to keep this short so more people read it.

A little about my eSelf:
I’m nearing my first eBirthday. I began my eLife during the eIndonesian Occupation, and I’ve witnessed Australia grow over the last however long it’s been. I’m level 19, a General, and recently a Company owner. I’m 2 days from my fifth hard worker medal, and nearing my 3rd super soldier medal.

My Policies:
I don’t have what many would consider a platform, and I don’t have a magical solution to change eAustralia as we know it. What I have is a conviction for choosing what’s right for eAustralia. Therefore, I will outline my beliefs on certain issues, and I’ll let you see exactly what kind of person I am.

Western Australia
I was around for the occupation. I’ve seen us slowly regain our states/territory. I also know that we don’t have anywhere near the people required to hold off any sort of Invading Indonesian force. We don’t have the Gold to fulfil our contract to purchase the WA companies, nor the gold to pay the breach of Contract. We don’t have the population to employ those companies, and we barely have enough population to warrant a new hospital in SA. Western Australia, I desperately wish were part of Australia, and openly prefer we buy it back. But it isn’t economically or militarily viable. It could very well destabilise the country. WA will wait, and we’ll be for it soon enough. No need jeopardising all we’ve made so far.

PEACE/EDEN
I see PEACE as an immoral and corrupt organisation who only wishes to pursue their own personal and selfish worldly gains, and so far as I prefer, we’d be better off without them.
I say the same for EDEN. I don’t like PEACE, but I can bet the moment PEACE is pushed back, the “Moralist” EDEN fighters will only turn forward to fight in their place. Australia should stick to it’s Sol Regional Alliance, and remain out of the power struggle of the blue and red blocs.

Player Boredom
I am on the off-site forum. Many people are. It’s boring as hell. No wonder people are bored and leaving. We pay a price for our neutrality, and it’s something we all realise. But we should at least attempt to even it out with a bit of eCulture. The Off-Topic section of the forum is disorganised, lengthy, and just plain boring. There’s even rules against posting to increase post count. You tell me what the matter with a fun Spam Game is? Some friendly discussion? Many people point to the IRC. I’m sorry, but most people are uncomfortable jumping into a chat room, and it’s no way to post en masse to people. Often, when I have free time, the whole thing is empty, or I’m just plain too busy to watch all the conversation. General Discussion Topics on the forum board would be much more desirable. I say, condense all that crap on the forum into 2 sections: General Discussion and Spam Games. Let people fly. If they create cultural ties to eAustralia, they’ll stay. Make friends, have fun. The set up at the moment is dismal.

the SA Hospital
I have seen the arguments for and against the hospital. We could sell it to fill the national coffers, we could keep it to even out the population, and that may or may not lead to a weakened or strengthened military status. However, I have to say that, over all, my belief is that all states should be given a free and equal opportunity, and that if I were a loyal South Australian, Tasmanian, or Northern Territorial, I would in all cases want a local Hospital. Afterall, Aussie is supposed to have efficient socialised healthcare, right?

So that’s what you get with me.
I urge you to vote Rakkeyal this election day, to have some voice, and to know you’re represented.
Australian Independent, for an independent Australia.

Thank you.
