The Order of Canada
Jacobi
On August 24th, 2008, then Canadian Prime Minister Adam Sutler instituted the Order of Canada. Let me begin by quoting his words on that day.
"On July 1st 1967, Canadian Prime Minister Lester Pearson established the Order of Canada to recognize the achievements of some of Canada's greatest citizens.
Today, as President of eCanada, I am doing the same. There are many eCanadian citzens worthy of recognition; be they for their contributions to the economic health of our nation; for the military successes our nation has enjoyed; the political milestones they have created; or an exceptional commitment or improvement of eCanadian society. The Order of eCanada is meant to recognize these eCanadians, and all that they have done. The recipients of this award have the right to add their respective Order Rank into their profiles as a badge of honor, to show to all eCanadians what they have done for the country."
One year later, as we go through the turmoil of a World War, and as we struggle to rebuild our country, it makes sense for us look at the achievements made in modern times, by Canadians and the friends of Canada, at to recognize their accomplishments in the rebirth of Canada.
There are three levels to the order. They are:
Companion: the highest grade, Companions of the Order of Canada have demonstrated the highest degree of merit to Canada and humanity, on the national or international scene.
Officer: Officers of the Order of Canada have demonstrated an outstanding level of talent and service to Canadians.
Member: Members of the Order of Canada have made an exceptional contribution to Canada or Canadians at a local or regional level, group, field or activity.
I should note before I announce the August 2009 recepients of this award, that these are not military decorations. Those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in our military operations will be awarded on forum Medals as that mod becomes operational.

I demand the order of canada
Thank you very much! It's an honour.
Everyone else got one, might as well
You have indeed helped in our victory 😉
Yay 😃 Go Canada Go!
You forgot about me dedicating 300g for Canada towards the Resistance and Victory of British Columbia.
I'm proud and honored to be able to receive the status of an associated member of the order of Canada. Thank you 🙂
Thank you for the honor 😃
congrats guys
funny that with things like this half the comments are always "i want to be included too!"
CONGRATS' TO ALL OF U !
U GUYS EARN IT!

Dean22, if you want to get into monetary donations, I should remind you that the 4th platoon donated roughly 300g in one contest, not counting the countless weapons, etc. Same goes for me because I've probably spent over 500g tanking in this war. 😛
That`s right Dean, your efforts don`t matter
The lack of Trent is disturbing.
No but congrats guys you all deserve it.
I believe that the entire population should be awarded as without them none of this would have happened.

Oh I have spent well over 1000g tanking in this war not including the 300g for BC.
But BC is a very large donation for one battle, one day and one person.
Congratulations everyone 😁
A great time to celebrate. I feel a festival coming on.
Congrats to everyone who made the list of Honoured Canadians. The last one needed a few more lively individuals.
I am both honoured and humbled to be associated with such a fine group of eCanadian Citizens.
This Great Patriotic War (Thats what I choose to call this past war) has brought out the best in so many of us.
We will only be a stronger, wiser and more prepared eCanada in the future to come.
That was the enemy's first mistake! That we would just roll over like so many have before us - and after us.
The eFuture is ours.
Oh yeah, believe it.
Lets not crack the champagne just yet people. Enemy troops still occupy 1/3 of our beloved country, so lets buckle down because the next few arn't going to be easy.
also, i nominate bruck & banach for order of canada
Who wins the Lester B Pearson award here?
Didn't Banach have a Medals list too?
A Private citizens awards...?
I sense a Google Doc starting up somewhere...
Great work everyone
IMHO we need to bring the literary awards back. OG literary award and SPABA were awesome contributions to our society and i think banach and plugson should seriously consider doing them again
Thank you for the honor, Prime Minister.
Congratulations everyone 🙂
Thanks very much for this recognition! I'm honored!
I will continue to do all I can to ensure a free Canada for all of us.
Thank you Mr. President, I humbly accept this great honour, I shall not slacken my efforts in times to come.
Goran Thrax
Seems like just a bunch of politicians just kissing each others asses. Don't medals only get awarded to dead men during a war and the living after the war is over.
Thanks Rylde, really feeling the love there.
Congratulations all
Banach
Companion of the Order of Canada
Thanks 😃
seems like a pretty bipartisan list rylde. u pissed you arent included?
He's probably more pissed than no one in CRM and BC got it ? 🙂
But Banach, I am registered with both the CRM and BC.
😃
Someone notify NORAD because I think this plane is about to be hijacked.
Yeah like Jacobi's gonna award Bruck! LOL
Congratulations to the recipients.
Lmao that even made me laugh.
One more award for me to get 😃

It's a real honor to be considered an associate member of the order of Canada 🙂
Keep on rocking, friends!

Man, Banach and Bruck should get one of these things... but I guess they are just militant power seeking dividers.
No Banach or Bruck? I demand a recount!
Recount, recount, recount!
This Order of Canada thing just sounds like a giant wank off among the 'elite' in Canada, congratulating themselves. I'm sure tons of newbs are reading it and going "what the hell? Lame". Or, you know, stressing out about not being recognizable.
posting for a fifth time because I hate even number and I've had to much to drink, I hguess.
lets not forget the wars not over
I still voted the article cause I'm sure even though its a elitist happy dance after quebec was liberated some of the medals are deserving.
But you should have quit when you and Plato were ahead.

@ Dean22 - In my mind I donated a million gazillion of my own gold to the BC resistance war so..... HA BEAT THAT!!!
MUAHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!
I have seen qn20, Leroy Combs, Durruti, and Lucius Varenus play critical roles in many of the important battles to liberate Canadian provinces. I don't know everybody, but on this basis one can see the awards are going to deserving people inside and outside Canada.
Obviously this is an acknowledgement of commitment, sacrifice, and accomplishment, not some specific amount of cash. Equally obvious is that there are many people who are as deserving, or almost as deserving, who will likely receive these honours in the future.
@Glados > I think you have the wrong number. Orders of Canada aren't for sale, and self-congratulation without accomplishment belongs on the British forums. But maybe you can find some Orders of the Garter on eBay, as we've seen that Britain's honour can be bought cheap.
Thank you Jacobi. I am highly honored and will continue to do my best for eCanada.

Do you get that for having a shiny new Airport terminal?
