Its simple. We fought to the death for you Americans. We fought to the death because we placed our faith that you would do the same.
A surrender is as much a betrayal as it is cowardice. Its "doing what is best for the people" a la UK. Taking the weight of the enemy out of the Americas does ABSOLUTELY nothing to the world situation.
We are still going to lose every single battle guys, that became clear a long time ago. Its about the spirit of defiance and of brotherhood. I speak only for myself, but I feel betrayed by a peace treaty from the US. I thought you guys were going down with the ship, and not succumbing to a terrible humiliation.
Like I said, the effort the US will put into international battles will not change a single thing, I promise you. It was better for everyone if you kept PEACE in the North Americas, draining their resources.
This is only my opinion, but I think that this is among the top three mistakes of the war.

-We will be giving California and Hawaii to Indonesia, and Alaska to Hungary. The fine for re-acquiring these regions is 5000g.
-All other regions will be purchased from their current holder at the following rate: 300g for high raw material regions, and 200g for all others.
-We have 4 months to pay all fees and fines.
-We will sign peace with France, Portugal, Indonesia, Russia, and Hungary.
-We will have a four month non-aggression pact with those same countries.

And what about when Peace takes us down to one region and leaves us sitting on our hands there? We won't do anyone any good in one useless region with 3 fully MPP'd open wars. It's a different situation, Banach. Corea was never given a deal, Switzerland was never given a deal, and Canada's deal was laughable. This is actually workable. Now we'll get a working economy back so that we can continue fighting strong for allies like you. Key word here is strong.

With the amount of money your FUNDING PEACE, not fighting them.
The US will say by signing this treaty "Hey, I know you guys went through a lot of trouble taking these from us, so let me just hand you a full refund for all the Gold you spent so you can come back anytime"

Yeah Netflame, completely disregard the amount of money that they're getting right now just from our companies. I guarantee you it's more than 10k or so gold in 4 months.
@Emerick, I have run the numbers, e USA can't do it unless you get every one of your citizens to buy a visa gift card and donate 40 gold to the government, hey 10,000 people at 40 gold = 400,000 gold. Then you could buy back whatever you want, as for me, I will run and fight beside our friends until I have to throw stones.
Canadians do not rollover for nobody.

You know, I expect propaganda from Peace, but not from you. I thought the allies were supposed to be better than that. What's the difference between us if both sides just make up propaganda and ignore whatever facts get in the way of their hatred?
Nice. So PEACE can now afford to keep the war going. Gee thanks USA for basically undoing all the work of you allies during the war. I sure am glad us Canadians fought so hard to have all the costs reimbursed for PEACE.
I think next time someone is out to get you, we will just step aside and let them have their way with you.

I hope you guys realise that there are still a lot of Americans that strongly oppose the peace treaty.
I agree with you.
Of course we realise this. And we appreciate what you guys feel now, its exactly what we are feeling. In this fight, we are all together, American or not, and the current government just made a decision, for better or worse, that citizens of all non-PEACE countries are unhappy with.

Having had a nights sleep the whole idea of choosing to surrender still does not sit well with me. Yes eUSA gets to live for another day, but at what cost, the loss of credibility in the eyes of many for example. As an eCanadian I feel used, we held the line for as long as we could to protect a friend and in the end we were nothing more than cannon fodder. In the future other nations shall think twice before sacrificing any thing let alone all for a nation who thinks only of their own survival over that of its allies.
There are plenty of good citizens who make up the eUSA and I truly feel for their pain and the shame they must carry for the actions of their gov't.

This is a strategy game not a game of chicken. Staying in the car only to get run over by the truck is not intelligent. Using words like cowardice and betrayal is a joke.
The eUSA got its ass handed to it, as we have before them. Taking a treaty to regroup while still sending your soldiers to defend your allies is not cowardice but intelligent game play. Making the best of a bad situation.
Lets face it, besides fighting a superiorly funded and larger army half of North America problems came from our own mistakes. Now is not the time to fall on your sword for false pride but to rebuild and correct the issues that lead to our collective downfall. North America will be rebuilt and be stronger than ever but it will require intelligent well thought out planning and cooperation not whinning about cowardice and betrayal
