Former President Big Boy Bulley long ago (by eRep standards) laid the foundation of what is now the Philippine government. Outgoing President HazzN built directly on top of it. I shall do the same.

Economy

The Department of Home Affairs will continue to provide Skill 0 employment to new players, ensure the availability of job offers in sectors where they are lacking, supply the military with weapons and moving tickets, and keep the prices of commodities and job offers in check.

The Department of Finance will continue to monitor and regulate the monetary markets with a benchmarking system to ensure a conducive environment for local companies, especially those in the exporting business.

Military

The Armed Forces of the Philippines under the Department of Defense will continue to deploy the Fleet and the Marine Corps to overseas destinations where we can best defend and support our allies. The Army and Special Operations Command will continue to preserve our territorial integrity by patrolling our borders.

The Philippine Military Academy will continue to school citizens not only in the art of war, but also how to make a killing in eRepublik. (Get it? "Make a killing"? Har har. Bah. Whatever.)

Regularly scheduled "friendly neighborhood war games" will be continued and pursued.

Foreign Affairs

The Department of Foreign Affairs will continue to make us look cool in the international community and make sure that we won't get attacked by anyone. We will continue to cultivate our relations with our Asian neighbors to ensure a peace and tranquility in our immediate neighborhood. We will continue to be active members in PEACE Global Community and SOL.

We will empower the diplomatic corps by giving them additional responsibilities that will make our presence felt worldwide and will allow us to learn from the successes and mistakes of older and more experienced nations.

Education

Intelligence

The National Intelligence Coordinating Agency will continue to protect state secrets, and conduct intelligence-gathering, counter-intelligence and recruitment operations in the interest of national security.

Events and Culture

The Department of Fun, a.k.a. the Ministry of Merriment, will continue to provide players with distractions and other fun activities beyond the monotonous "two-clicking" nature of eRepublik in the hopes that this will keep them playing longer, and develop an atmosphere of fun and community in ePhilippines

Ariel, writing for The Outsider, and running for President, August 5, 2009.
