Ranger announces proposed Cabinet.

Day 622, 23:43 Published in Australia Australia by Ranger Bob

Well, here it is. This Cabinet has been selected based on the best mix of old and new views, as well as different views on key policy issues for this term. ALL of these individuals I consider quite experienced - and more than able to deliver you the best outcomes, transparency and accountability.

I have also as mentioned, consulted closely with the Party Presidents of most of the Political Parties in eAustralia in selecting this cabinet, and explaining my rationale.

So, without further ado...

August Proposed Cabinet

Deputy PM
Scotywest (Stewstoyc)

Bio:

A perfect choice for dPM. He has the skill, dedication and activity level to bring much to this role. While there are concerns regarding his past, this should not be held against a person, and he has more than paid any dues through a most successful term as co-MOD and an ongoing love for our country. This will be a vital role, and I envisage he will be jointly responsible for the coordination of all cabinet activity (including cross-portfolio activity). ALL the decisions I make this term will be made in close consultation with the dPM.

Role:

The dPM is the key advisor, main back up for the PM role, and the second in command. He will assume all the PM authority and powers if there is absence for any reason.

Ministers of Defence
Ezekiel_Thomas & Meadow
(Deputies: Johnathon Brown, Vodoror)

Bio:

Ezekiel Thomas and Meadow are both exceptionally experienced dropbears, and I have absolute confidence they will maintain the high standard of our military forces. Ezekiel and Meadow understand the committment and time required to provide logistics and coordination needed to ensure we continue to build our strength. This term I expect them to look at implementing important reforms in the Military, including building up the Dropbears and ACUK (and, considering whether an additional ACUK and/or Dropbear Squad can be implemented), AND increasing activity/participation of the ACAR. Johnathon Brown continues in his role as dMoD after a successful term in July and is a valuable and committed member of the DoD team. Vorodor will also lend logistical help with the role, after his term as MoF.

Role:

Overall command of the DropBears, ACUK and ACAR, coordination and growth of the eAustralian military, donation runs, management of DoD Companies (Weapons and MTs), Rosters, and will appoint and work with a Commander-Marshal of the Military Forces to support them in deployment during any conflicts.

MoFA
zaney & Calibur
(Deputy: Newt Grinich)

Bio:

As I have said before, I believe this term we need to make a decision where we stand with alliances. So, therefore I have quite deliberately picked a team with differing views on the matter, to promote a democratic choice on our future.

zaney really needs no introduction. He has shown the eAustralian people what his mettle is, both in diplomacy through working with eIndonesia from the beginning to bring us back NSW and Victoria, to running the "government in exile" when we lost our lands in 2008 in the War. Balanced and with considered views, I am most pleased he has agreed to sit in on this term.

Cailbur - one of the most controversial individuals I know, and a staunch supporter of other alliances than PEACE - and not afraid to say it. While I certainly don't approve of his past, in the interests of ensuring both sides of the debate are heard this month I believe it is vital to have someone who will push an alternate view.

Newt is a truly balancing force. Having stepped from a role in the Senate as Deputy Speaker, I believe he is a fair individual, and will ensure that regardless of what happens in terms of our future international alliances, it will occur transparently and honestly.

While I believe they will all bring differing perspectives - in the end, they have eAustralia's interests at heart and will do what is needed for the greater good and as reflected by the will of the people. I expect them to bring you the hard choices, and make sure through it all, eAustralia remains sovereign and develops strong relations with our local regions, neighbours and the wider community.

Role:

Navigate and advise the Senate and I on the best course through the maze of alliances and international pressure, to achieve the best outcomes for eAustralia!

MoF
Son of Rambo
(Deputy: TheBlackAdder)

Bio:

Certainly one of the stronger Ministers of Finance we have had to date, Son of Rambo brings experience having previously filled a MoF role in eAustralia, as well as the financial knowledge and skills to build up our treasury and keep us financially secure.

As for TheBlackAdder - well most of you would know he is one of the most experienced players in finance and business matters there is. In addition, he has taken previous roles such as the Inspector General in Government, and understands the need for accontability and ensuring appropriate limits on expenditure to keep our economy stable.

Role:

The MoF role is largely responsible for administering all things financial - this includes regulation of the Monetary Market, administration of the National Bank of Australia, and to prepare and deliver the eFederal Budget. (not much, really xD)

MoI
Santic / Gercon Bonn
(Deputy: Leonard Lyman)

Bio

Santic and Gercon are fine choices for this term. Both have exceptional experience, and a good sense of the eAustralian industry. Santic has previously served in eAustralia, and Gercon has extensive international experience. Leonard Lyman, a previous senator has also previously lent support to the MoI portfolio, and will be an active member of the team in sharing the workload and ensuring things get done in this important portfolio.

Role

I have very high expectations of the MoI portfolio this term. They need to ensure effective and efficient management of the Government Companies, as well as keep the public updated on Industry matters. They shall also support the implementation of my proposed GM mentorship and incentive program.

MoCS
Cerridwen Voeland / sir_c0nstant
(Deputies: Johnny Citizen, ronnyjnrjnr)

Bio:

I believe the saying is - if it aint broke, don't fix it. Many of you will have had contact and support by now from the current MoCS, both in terms of helping link you in with things you need to know to get started, as well as competitions and activities which build our sense of community. This is certainly true of this portfolio, and the people that have occupied it this term. Cerridwen has done an outstanding job this term in contacting new citizens (and yes, getting other people to help with her!). Cerri has also established the now famous 'Scavenger Hunt's' which have been a great way to link newer and more experienced citizens together, as well as offer some great prizes to the community.

sir_c0nstant has been essentially filling a co-role with Cerri this last month in any case, and I believe between them it shall be a great term and time for them to continue to actively increase our population of new citizens, and keep people in our country and alive and well. ronnyjnrjnr and Johnny are also welcome additions to this portfolio. They will work with a team of assistants to assist with messaging new players and lending support.

Role:

This term I would like to see the diversity of the role of MoCS opened up - I would like the MoCS to consider recruiting a 'wiki-team' of experienced wiki writers and coders, to work with her and other portfolio's to improve our wiki pages, keeping them updated

Minister of Immigration, Customs and Security (Immmigration / Security)
Patti11
(Deputy: Patrick Reckitt)

Bio:

What can't you say about Patti11? Has lead the country, has been a committed Cabinet member, a Dropbear and definitely knows how to keep eAustralia's interests at heart. With the need for good intelligece and information, as well as to ensure we plan well for the impact citizenship and immigration will have on the game and our nation, I can think of no one else more deserving of the role.

Patrick Reckitt has been a long serving member of our Military Forces, as well as a Deputy Speaker. He will assist Patti11 in establishing this important portfolio, and has some excellent ideas in streamlining immigration and protecting our nation from the risk of Political Take Overs and other threats.

Given the immigration role will SUPPORT the Senate in making its decisions relating to approving citizenship for people who apply to enter our eNation, I would also like to invite two senators to nominate to be assistant staff in this portfolio.

Role:

Pre-screen and provide a list of people who apply to senate for citizenship on any that may be of concern (ie Donations Lists, known PTO attempters, potential security concerns).

Provide logistical liaison with ASIO, ASIS and other Intelligence Agencies.

MoIF
Timeoin / Garven Dreis

Bio / Role:

Timeoin and Garven are new to Cabinet, however both have shown they will step up well to the role of Ministers of Information this term. And, getting information out there will be vital. However, they both also appreciate MoIF should be more than just a reporting role. I have asked them to look this term at how to provide more analysis and commentary - so rather than people having to read all the 26 posts in a senate discussion thread, this is summarised and provided to you in an easy and clear format. This will also extend to activites undertaken by cabinet, as well as general announcements and other things happening.

In essence, they will become the funnel for getting messages out there quickly, clearly and effectively.

Well, that's it for this term. I have sought to ensure a strong mix of views and these people have agreed to work closely with Scoty and I to deliver my committments to you this month.

Thanks eAustralia.
