The Libertarian Party has treated those who serve the eUS Military with respect - but with recent events by the party president, Claire Littleton, it makes me wonder if the party's views have shifted.
Last night during granted a "lulz debate," we saw Claire on a debate with Joseph Schmo as moderator, and Jaxon and Gaius Julius debating along with certain guests.

The party president of the second largest political party in the eUnited States has mocked the legendary Harlot - who shaped the way the eUS Military is today. He is the mastermind who I could arguably claim that the eUS Military has lasted even this long solely because of his dedication. Harlot (O7 btw...) resigned not too long ago and it was an extremely sad loss to everyone in eUS and her allies.

Before I am called a biased bastard making stirring muck, I'd like to admit - this was not an official presidential debate - and if you read on there were serious bias against Claire. But as any informed citizen who has a relatively calm mind - you must ask why would Claire be doing this?
Simple - she wants to be president.
Claire has derailed plans the Libertarian Party's original endorsement for President, Emerick was and still claims to be the "Next Candidate" for ePOTUS (for those who keep wondering what that means, it's ePresident of the United States). However, in a brilliant move to derail the party's wishes, Claire published this article in the Libertarian Bulletin (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/libertarian-primary-878645/1/20) which asks party members who vote for who they would endorse for President. Emerick's name was removed even though candidates from other parties like Josh Hoss (UIP) and Harry Dick (USWP) were on there.
May I remind everyone what Claire wrote just one month ago praising Emerick (http://www.erepublik.com/en/newspaper/a-little-claire-ification-184684/1)
Not only has Claire snatched the Presidential Elections for herself, but she has made a bad name for the entire party.
According to her comments during that debate:

* She thinks Josh Frost is a better military officer than Harlot (who for the record, Josh Frost immediately was voiced and denied her claim with -

Our current President of the United States, Harrison Richardson has made a very clear statement regarding her actions:

In closing, I would like all military personnel from eRepublik, not just eUnited States of America, but her allies, and in fact, even PEACE military leaders to let Claire Littleton know the impact Harlot has made for the eUnited States.
I would like Libertarians to review just what kind of party Claire Littleton is running, and urge her to save herself, her political career, and any hope of her becoming a congressman ever again :
- to resign as Libertarian Party President,
- to remove herself from the US presidential race,
- to issue a sincere public apology to Harlot - who I must say is nothing but a victim in all this after the service he has selflessly served the eUS and her allies.
Until this is done, I have personally quit the Libertarian Party until further notice. I hope many will join me to send this clear message to desk jockeys that military forces do hard work for our country - and we will not be discounted as something a paper pusher can quiet shove under the carpet.

@Buck28- Fine. I'll give him that if that's the case. But someone in leadership has no idea how to run this war. I'm assuming it's either the top military commander or the commander in chief. I'm just saying, with elections coming up, and HR seeking another term, someone at the top is incompetent.
Until someone steps up and says "yup, that's me" us average citizens have to go off of whatever small info we can get.
Harlot resigned so it's on him until he says otherwise. If he was following orders then he should say so. It's his responsibility as a patriot.
Either he screwed up (his orders were rediculous by the way, "fight here, ignore everything else") or he's getting thrown under the bus and taking the fall for whoever was giving him orders.

Khyron! We're in a three front war! There are 5 foreign nations in North America! Nobody, no matter how good at directing the military could stop that many enemies. We're heavily outnumbered - but the actions Harlot has taken, both during and well before the war, made our military competitive.
He took the fall because he's too modest, he quit because the job was taking far too much of his time, which he had to put to other things (like RL - anybody?).
If you're trying to be an informed voter, listen and read a little more before flaming.
Harlot know this game better than anyone if i was going to blame someone it would honestly be the civilians for not following orders.If everyone would have fought where they were supposed to we would be in a lot better shape.
Any Libertarians as perturbed by this spectacle as I am are more than welcome in other more...mature...parties 😉.

Harlot was a Patriot and he served our eCountry with distinction, I don't know what went wrong with Claire, I liked her, but she just lost my vote.

@Khyron. I assume you've never been in the eUS military? Harlot was a brilliant military commander. We were told to ignore all other battles because the other battles were not as important as the one he told us to fight for. There was a reason for only defending a particular region. Let's appoint you to CoJCS and see how well you do. You wouldn't last one day.

I have to say that you can't take anything called "lulz" seriously. Harlot is a great guy, but he isn't sacred. Anything Glados says should be discounted.
As a ProTem leader of the Libertarians I'm just going to outright say this: our party is not represented well by Claire Littleton right now. There is no polite, tactful way for me to really say that. In the past she has been very good for the Libertarians but she is not handling herself very professionally at this point regarding our party image. This entire debate should not be taken seriously. Next month we will have a new Party President and she will be OUT. I urge anyone thinking of abandoning our party to consider this. Please PM me directly if you have any issues or concerns regarding this.

Eugene Harlot was a great JCS Chair, did his best to make the eUSA military strong, and put in more hours than 99% of other eRepublik players. To say he sucks is just plain wrong...
First I would like to say that I would gladly still have Harlot leading me into battle. Secondly, I would like to tell Emerick that I will not vote for Claire if she's on the ballot, despite being a fellow Lib. Emerick I thought you were the right choice to begin with, and I still think so now!

I disagree with Harlot's actions (or inappropriate lack thereof) but I wouldn't go so far as to say that he sucks. I also don't think he is solely to blame for the current situation the eUS finds itself in. I don't know who to put the blame on but I am positive that it should be the group of decision-makers who take the blame and not just any one individual.
Do I agree with Claire's statement? Not entirely, Harlot doesn't suck but he didn't blow hard enough (think of a three little pigs analogy) either.
Do I think Claire should apologize for her statement? Hell no. A citizen of the eUS has every right to make any statement they desire, be it in jest or otherwise.
Would I vote for Claire for ePOTUS? You betcha. Would I vote for Emerick? You betcha. Will I vote for Daphne for Lib PP? You betcha.
Why? Well, I don't post much anywhere... to be sure, this will probably be my longest post on anything eRepublik related, but I read a hell of a lot of the goings-on. I think Claire is being unfairly misrepresented here. I could be wrong. I've been wrong before. Not very often though.
